- Khaldoon Al Mubarak has pinpointed the main emotion he felt in the immediate aftermath of City’s momentous Champions League win in the first part of his annual interview.
Sitting down with Chris Bailey the day after our triumph in Istanbul, the Chairman said relief was the key sentiment after City had been crowned Champions of Europe.
The Chairman also discussed his desire for a new modern legacy of success, Sheikh Mansour’s attendance at the showpiece, securing the Treble, Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Ilkay Gundogan and much more.

I don’t usually watch through a 20-minute video of an interview, but damn Khaldoon is such a charismatic, well-spoken man. I always look forward to these interviews with him. We are so lucky to have him as our chairman 🩵

Arsenal fan here, this guy is next level, every team needs a visionary and a leader like him. Yes there are allegations on breaches, imo City play beautiful football with such commitment even with all this success, credit to them, that cant be taken away. Hopefully we challenge City again next season but hard to catch a truly impressive machine
As a Barca fan, I am incredibly impressed with how City is been ran, even though it didn't come as a surprise. I knew they will do excellent stuff's when they appointed Ferran and Txiki, it was easy for those two to convince Pep to come. I am also super impressed with this chairman's clarity of thoughts and how well he is. For city fans, I hope they can keep this bunch for a longer period of time. Congratulations again, and to my mentor Pep "Felicitats", hopefully, I'll get to meet you soon.
Bruh this is a reason why 115 breaches are currently being investigated . If city are found to be guilty for even half of those then all this praise goes out the window and the small city uk fanbase better be prepared for the wave of the majority of football fans reminding them of what they did and the Abu Dhabi owners will have no answer to all the questions? One of my favourite things about this is that he doesn't just mention Pep and the players, he mentions LITERALLY EVERYONE at the club. Khaldoon's outstanding gratitude for others is what I love about him.

When I look back over 51 years of supporting City it still amazes me to hear people talking about my club being the best in the world and one of the biggest brands in world football. Forgotten are those defeats to our local rivals Oldham Athletic at Maine Road in the 80's and 90's 🤣Also, what a parade we had - even my underwear was soaked in that rain!

The way Manchester city is run, is second to none. I am completing my doctorate of chiropractic (specialising in sports medicine) now, and I’m going to get either a JD law degree, or an MBA masters of business after I’m done as well just so I can try and find myself in a similar position to Mr. Al Mubarak. Genuinely a huge inspiration to me. CTID 💙

@@thuo1000 hardly. A JD or MBA is two years, and my current degree in chiro sports medicine comes to a total of 5 years. I started tertiary education at 18, straight out of high school, so I will be entirely done with study by the time I'm 25. Could definitely be worse, I know doctors in my dorms who are going on to specialise in ortho surgery, and will still be studying at 33 years old

Ngl, these interviews are always one of the highlights of the season, I love watching them.
I am a Barcelona fan for 34 years and I can say that Mr Khaldoun Al-Mubarak is an exemplary club President/Chairman with all necessary virtues. Those who criticise Manchester City are either suffering from "selective amnesia" or are just haters and their hatred comes from two things-
1. their clubs simply are not winning like City
&
2. They wish their clubs were run like City.
Any club in the world would have been proud to have an owner like Mr Sheikh Mansour and a President/Chairman like Mr Mubarak. Mr Mubarak is a well spoken man who means every words that come out of his mouth. You can feel the vision and foresight that is an essential ingredient to run a top club. The credit for a well run club is deserving from the top; delegation of proper authority to the people in charge, supervising them well, guaranteeing freedom of work, entrusting them with their works and selecting the right personnel for their jobs- the owner ensures all.
Then there are other reasons that make other clubs jealous of City; doing great things for the locality and the community. Sadly, City don't have the leading British media in their favour since most of the media owners and journalists are supporters of other clubs; that's why you won't see their good works being reported. The media even have the "magical ability" to twist a positive City news into a very negative City news. Despite all these City have shown enormous resolve to succeed where it matters most- in sporting success.
I can only congratulate the club Manchester City for everything they offer as an entity. I hope haters' hate don't ruin this fantastic reborn club. Very well done.

I enjoyed this interview as a football fan. Not a City fan but you can tell how much he knows about his club and how much the club means to him. When you have a Chairman like that full of heart for football and not just viewing it as another money making machine, long term consistent success follows.
