Over the last few months I've had comments deleted for no discernable reason. A few of them may have been deleted for having links or deleted until they were held for review (such as a link to an article about medieval weapons or discussion of a really bad movie plot twist), but if someone actually checked them out, they'd see they were harmless and not promoting anything harmful. Here's the most perplexing. Recently someone said something nice to me, so I responded with a smiley emoji; my response was deleted. I tried again, posting a smiley emoticon; this was also deleted. They're...they're smiley faces. They're freaking smiley faces. What is so freaking offensive about that that the channel thought, "Nope, can't have that!"? It's so frustrating, and it's even more frustrating when you see comments that can cause actual harm (spreading conspiracy theories, advocating violence against people or animals, posting links to spam pages or offensive material, etc.) are allowed to remain despite being reported.
