I seem to remember this was sold under the name King Corder or similar. It was expensive and complicated and didn't include a TBC, so it wasn't a huge hit. Besides which, most people who used SVHS for editing were using Video8 or Hi8 as their source. SVHSC didn't sell well at all because running times were too short. But you've got to give it to Panasonic, they came up with an interesting machine here.
So very true - VHS-C wasn't nearly as popular as Video8/ Hi8 but Panasonic certainly gave it a great shot with this deck!
Panasonic nv-v8000 is equipped with tbc/no longer misleads the world. It also has manual adjustment for color intensity.

@@MrBetaByte I think in particular, SVHSC was a very small seller. If you are going to use tapes which won't play on a VHS video recorder, then go the whole way and get the advantages of Hi8 such as smaller tapes and longer running time.
