I like how Kat using the word "comply" is what led me to having a 10 min conversation with myself about how unfair this is for Davis.
Well keep in mind that the scientists had trusted him before and as soon as he was given a little more freedom, he decided to keep the picture that can make the other SCP kill someone if they look at it and kept Kat (the person who advocated for him to have the things in his containment cell and has no actual leverage for the company whatsoever) as a hostage with a gun to her head.
@@djmurphy_05 Keep in mind this was caused by their own incompetence, fistly Davis is an unstable individual who likely recieved decades worth of mental trauma while deployed dying several times during his formative years likely didn't help, secondly it is on record that he hates the SCP facility, his first experience of them was incredibly negative he knows there are no proper alternatives which likely led to further resentment, thirdly they created the circumstances that led to his, for lack of a better word, 'outburst' by putting him the position of aquiring dangerous material, and not properly checking him over once the mission ended.
@@djmurphy_05 yes however also keep in mind Davis' perspective I don't agree with what he did but to him those scientists are the ones basically torturing him again and again and again I think he just wants a better life and I can't blame him for that treat someone as though they are an animal and that's how they will act treat someone with human decency that you would give a stranger and it will improve sure it will take time because Davis is a traumatized adult but they can get there

When you treat someone like animal he become more agresive and then you are more harsh to him and he become more upset.
When you treat someone like human he can become even your friend or be more helpful to you.
I'm not a psychologist or anything but when someone threatens your life i dont think you look at them the same

I understand how Davis Acts they treat him that way and they don't expect him to act with violence he only tried helping the D class
Which he also was before becoming an SCP. He would rather fight for all D-Class personnel than the foundation in general
Well how would you act if someone you advocated for and had to see daily threaten the safety of your coworker/friend and you still have to watch over said person after the fact?
As the o5 stated before, it's their job to "protect" him, not "baby" him (he's being babied compared to the other SCPs). It's a shit situation for Davis, yes, but it gets even shittier if he's able to pull stunts like that

I know it's rough for both Davis and the scientists. But there's alot of comments on here saying how Davis doesn't deserve this treatment when he wasn't supposed to have any of those things they took away to begin with

At this point I doubt even the maximum amount of privileges that Davis can eventually accrue through the means of "cooperation" and "compliance" will be the least bit pleasing or fulfilling for him at all. Nothing will bring Davis any form of joy except him finally seeing his captors (Harkman and his team included) brutally murdered in some form or another and he will make that his life goal as he plans his escape from the wretched rat cage that confines him.
Btw SCP 106 is the Old man a keter class who has an infinite pocket dimension and causes rapid decay

@@djmurphy_05 last time he knew what would happen if dangerous SCPs were to get out so he knew he had to. But if it were to happen again I doubt he’ll get into it again. Before this whole 096 sh*t he became alert as soon as he heard about the breach but now he probably won’t even care

@@kataleah1798 yeah, but then it's a question of how far he'd be able to get with hallways filled with guards not only set for him but for other SCPs as well as those said SCPs in the area. the ony way for him to make it would be if he pulled a gen ex machina and even then, he'd still have to find a way out because I doubt he's on the same floor as the exit
The way I see this is that there is no completely good person in this. Davis has the right to be angry with all of this. Kat tried to help him but he still held her hostage. At the same time Kat was just doing her job when she did those things to Davis, but her job involves doing inhumane things and it would be hard for anyone to forgive that. The foundation is cold and inhumane but what they do is to protect humanity. Yet are all of their tests really needed, or are some of them done because the researchers were curious? All the other anomaly focused organizations also have their own flaws.
Some of them are definitely done because the researcher was curious, take one scp test with Scp-682 for example, a fucking scientist threw a innocent kid into the containment area with Scp-682 and resulted in the kid being devoured, glad Dr. Clef threw that Researcher in the containment area to also die because that damn Researcher was planning to throw in another innocent kid to die.

I'm just gonna say what I'm thinking right now,I don't really think Davis deserves what is happening to him,Why? Because what davis did is basically kidnap somebody,put them in a secluded room,and hold them at gun point.Sound familiar to you? Maybe like a certain foundation who kidnaps people put them in a secluded room and have guards to hold them at gun point.Davis practically did what the foundation did just on a way smaller scale and less cruel,and didn't put them near SCPs apart from- y'know,himself.And for doing that is getting treated like a D-class,The entire foundation is just full of hyprocrites,though some are nice- but still I don't think people should be mad at davis,his actions weren't completely justified but they were justified a lot.
i agree with this completely. They didn’t really realize this and that made me so mad. Davis didn’t deserve this he just wanted to get all the D class out. he went through the same thing as the D class and if they had went through what Davis did or the D class then i think they would understand.

when your job involves murdering people you picked up of the street, you're a bad person for "just doing your job". They kidnapped him, treated him like an animal and kept him in an enclosed cell all alone, and were shocked that he lashed out. Told him he had to "earn back privileges", when he should've had all those privileges to begin with, seeing as he should be a free person, not an animal to be experimented on. All he wanted was to free all the other people who get mercilessly murdered in the facility, and he's treated like an animal. He doesn't deserve this. He wouldn't have done what he did had he not been kidnapped and held hostage by the facility in the first place.
@@remyviv1995 the scientists that are incharge of Davis' protection are not the same scientists that take in the D class. and yes, how D class and SCPs are handled is cold at best, but keep in mind none of them have control over the protocol and wish they could treat them better; every time they've tried to be nicer, SCP's walk over them and possibly kill them. again, the scientists have no control over how the o5 want to handle these situations. just like any other job, you have to do things you don't want to otherwise, they'll be terminated (literally for the scientists). they were doom the moment they accepted the job, thinking they were doing something good

Thank you! Everyone has been saying how he's being treated like an animal even though he's the one who kept important information away from o5, threatened to show the picture to people, and kept Kat as a hostage. And yeah, it sucks that the team took away his stuff, but if the last few episodes with Harkman's pov said anything, he wasn't supposed to have any of that in the first place.

He's human ya know I understand they can't do anything about the scps and what he has to be tested on and they did promise that they'll try their best to make sure that he doesn't have to test with any scps that will be a danger to him or where he has to die over and over again I do have to admit it was pretty stupid of him to not only hold the picture hostage not holding the picture hostage but holding the picture hostage so he could help other people but it is understandable he did work in the military and basically risked his life in the military so he could help people that's the point so he's the type of person who thinks of others he wasn't a pretty good position and he wanted to free all the d-class he wanted to help others and he could empathize sympathize something basically understand how they're treated and he wanted them to be let go what stupid of him to look out for others instead of just himself but that shows that he has humanity in them just saying he wasn't really in a good position to do so and I think he got a little too... comfortable thinking that he could just wake back up whenever if he failed he didn't really think things through and he didn't notice a lot of things like the vents I think he honestly just got bored he was being very sloppy and he honestly does not seem like the type of person to just sit still and do whatever people want of him like he's a dog you know he has pride but a lot of other people for survival would just sit there and do whatever they can to survive but he wasn't in a position where he would have to survive not in a life or death way but more in a trapped and somewhat happy or trapped and miserable but I don't think that he realized that

I feel that this is a bit much, I understand that what Davis did was extremely dangerous and broke their trust, not to mention he scared the shit out of Kat, but not even a Toilet? Even if Davis DID reset somehow, he'd already slept because of the amnestics, no-one got hurt/killed either, shaken up, sure. But still- I'm curious to see where this goes
