Glad someone suggested this and you reacted.
The core Waifs are the two sisters Vicki (vocals/harmonic/guitar) and Donna (vocals/guitar) and Josh Cunningham (vocals/guitar/banjo/mandolinetc).
Crazy Train is a Waifs original even though it sounds traditional - and arguably their rockiest.
Their music, and they write almost all their songs, is probably best classified as "roots music" : country, blues, bluegrass, folk etc etc.
They cover a lot of topics - not just love songs.
They have a lot of great songs and the harmonica is key to their sound.
But note also Josh's playing which I rate. Interesting sidenote: Josh makes all the instruments he plays.
Blue Grass awesomeness!! I love the harmonica playing!! Awesome ladies!! Awesome reaction Rory and thank you for whomever requested this!! 😊🩷🤘✌️🔥🔥🔥
That was me
the band is australian, the two girls are sisters, wikki is a killer on the harmonica!! Great performance!! Thanks!
'Lighthouse' , 'Bridal Train' and 'London Still' are all great tracks to check out. But they have plenty of great tracks and always deliver live.
I dont know why its taken me this long to suggest the Waifs but ill deffinately be recommending a few more from them.
I think this actually might be a version of a really old, traditional song. And a kickass version, too!
This is a song by The Waifs from their self titled album in 1996
