My tree stand for backyard food plot is just 5 ft off the ground hidden in a bush. This thing is so hidden it's almost perfect just need the right wind. #deerhunting
If you’re basically at their eye level the chance of getting busted is way higher plus if the wind changes when you are higher your scent won’t be pointing right back at you sitting 5’ off the ground.
Alan.........Great video. In August 2014, I fell 30 ft. when a deer stand chain broke..... 6 wks, in intensive care. ONLY by the grace of GOD am I here today. Good idea. I hunt 20'. I tried 15 foot. But deer just seem to look up at me as they walk in. 20' yeah you can still be busted. But out of their walk in veiw. I gotta try a bit lower. Going start hunting traditional. Good advice.
I like hunting low as well, but we can’t hunt nearly that low because unfortunately there aren’t any full bushes in the woods we hunt to get in the top of.

People getting busted at 20-30ft up trees is proof that it's about concealment and movement and not height. Well done!!
It’s much harder for a deer to see you making movements when you’re high then when you’re low, that’s a fact

That'll work, wont work everywhere but with the cover you got there its perfect.
I think this is a cool idea, and I’ve considered it more than once. I’d love to see a follow-up.

Why I just keep my butt in a tent on the ground. Helps with scent also.

iv hunted from that height for yrs works great for me i use the top of ladder stand
called hunting in the south
I've killed many of deer fro 12 feet up. Wind and staying motionless is key. I'm a meat hunter not a trophy hunter. Best of luck
Same. 10-12 ft is plenty high enough. If you can't hide from a deer from 30 yards away at 12 ft up a tree, height is not the problem 😅

Killed one same setup maybe 3 feet off the ground this Christmas. It’ll work!

that will work under your cover as long as the wind is in your favor.
Mines bout 15 ft. Up good enough for me not to be way up in the air like that
