  • I explored the site where the most dreaded men eater in the history of world was killed. Probably I may be the First one to show you the spot. This tigress killed 436 people the last one was the girl just before it was killed. This site is 7km towards East from Champawat which is in Uttrakhand(India).
While killing, Jim Corbett was helped by a Tehsildar along with 298 beaters, Dugar Singh was one among them who accompanied Jim later on was rewarded with a dagger and sword that is what the man who helped me claims. I had an honor to hold these two weapons. I am thankful to Gopal Singh ji My brother Jiwanand and My son Shailesh.

I was given Jim’s 1st book Maneaters Of Kumaon by my dad here in Scotland when I was about 10 and am now 66. I since then have read all his books lots of times, I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d ever see any of the places where the great man went about ridding the people of the hills of these beasts. Thank you so very very much, I have subscribed to your channel and will now scour CZcams for more. Incidentally this is a video of Jim’s famous Rigby .275 rifle on CZcams too as Rigby in London now have it on show and visiting their shop is very high on my list of things to do ASAP. Imagine getting to see that. Jee Shukriya again.

MY father gave me Jim Corbett books to read when I was a boy. I read just about everything Corbett ever wrote. My favorite was "The Man Eating Leopard of Rudrapryag". I love your video! It enabled me to visualize the places where the events in the book took place. Cary Boyd, Tucson AZ, USA

Great video! Great effort! Sir, you have done what no one has ever done. Thanks a million for tracing the path that Jim took and actually finding out not only the places but even the people who were involved in those heroic exploits. Would love to go see those places with you. The last slide(the House where Jim Corbett had lunch) looked perfect even after 100 years🙏

With great appreciation from America, thank you. It’s really neat to see the places described in Corbett’s writing. Interestingly, he describes these places so accurately that they look in real life just as I imagined them from reading.

I love this, I am Sri Lankan and my grandfather used to read me the stories from Maneaters of Kumaon as a child and it inspired my life long passion for wildlife and wildlife conservation. Thank you for bringing these stories to life and showing us the real places and locations. The copy he gave me is a 1st edition and it is my most treasured possession.

Sir I thank you for your efforts to follow in the foot steps of the great man Jim Corbett. Growing up in India, we have kind of soaked up his stories from our early childhood. To me he is an enigma.
