Ten Hag fullbacks have generally always been required to be good in build up; be able to invert into midfield in the second phase of play, be adapt at defending channels, and be able to defend the backpost. Those are all stuff at which Frimpong is questionable at best. Those of us us who don't want Frimpong would just rather a more well-rounded fullback, someone with a skillset similar to Dalot's.
