  • At the Hirshberg Foundation’s 18th Annual Symposium on Pancreatic Cancer, we learn about The Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection (PRECEDE) Consortium, an international, multi-institutional collaborative group of experts working to increase survival for pancreatic cancer patients by improving early detection, screening, risk modeling and prevention for those with a heritable risk for pancreatic cancer, through a novel model of collaboration and data sharing. Dr. Diane Simeone of UC San Diego Health discusses the current state of clinical surveillance for pancreatic cancer in high-risk individuals and the role of large-scale collaborative research to accelerate progress toward meaningful improvement in survival.
