  • Took a trip to Duluth, Minnesota summer 2016 and this video was a result of that trip.

    Not all of this footage is shot in Duluth. I made this video with a close family to me in mind so I added a few locations that is special to them. 90% of this video is Duluth.

    My mother and her two sisters were born and raised in Duluth in the early 1900's.
    My parents and my two sisters started visiting with the relatives when we were very young.
    It was always very exotic to us to experience the "world of Duluth" and surrounding atmosphere.
    I'm now 73 and have fond memories of falling asleep as a child listening to the fog horns when staying at our relatives.
    Nice video........sigh

    Excellent video, very polished!
    My mother was one of three sisters born and raised in Duluth, therefore I started coming to Duluth around my 5-6th birthday from Milwaukee Wi.
    As me and my two sisters grew up we would visit my aunt and uncle and my grandparents. Eventually we would be left up there while my parents went back home for a couple of weeks.
    We loved it and didn't miss them as there were many exotic things to do and see.
    There are other compelling places to add to the clips that you've shown. I can give you an extended list of intellectual, historical, artistic, cultural, natural, educational, physical, visual, gustatorial and more places and activities that would make for very diverse and captivating additional video subjects thorough all the seasons. And I can PROVE it!

    • @hpiechow1
      @hpiechow1 Před 7 lety +1

      Beast Warrior Fall turns into winter in about October and last at least until April, though it's snowed in June before. Of course, every year is different and it's much harder to predict the weather due to the lake effect. In the summer is always cooler by the lake and in the winter it's a tad warmer by the lake, since it's so large it never fully freezes and acts as a temperature stabilizer.

    • @beasttamer1904
      @beasttamer1904 Před 7 lety +2

    Yeesh - how can such a lovely video precipitate such negative and vulgar remarks? People can be so awful.
    Very lovely - I am Duluth - crazy and go there often - it is nirvana to me. However, it is true, some of those shots were well up the North Shore, (e.g. Tettegouche State Park) so maybe a different title would be in order. I do have a question about that first waterfall tho. I am quite sure that cannot be in Duluth or anywhere in Northern Minnesota - the rocks are the wrong kind. It looks like Minneopa Falls in Mankato.

    • @SethButler
      @SethButler  Před 7 lety +2

      Hey Paul, You are correct. Not all of the shots were in Duluth. I have the reason why I named it this and had additional shots outside of Duluth in the description. The waterfall at the beginning is Minnehaha falls in Minneapolis. Every shot in the video is special to the family whom I went with. Thank you for your kind words. It agree that although all of the imagery is not true to the title that people should just enjoy it.

Stay in a Light House.Put In Bay, on Lake Erie,and there are more miles of shore line on the "North Shore than there are on either the East,South or West shore's.Port Huron Float Down,is a WOW event. +Laura Juntunen sure was. This video was made with a family in mind who is close to me. They love Duluth and love these specific places that I added outside of Duluth. That's why the falls and the north shore made the cut.

    The video is nice but why not show the real Duluth? High taxes,homeless,sex trafficking,terrible city management,bad streets, over the top high prices. Extremely liberal city what can go wrong!

    It was my hometown until I realized there was a great big other. Nicer weather by far, lowere taxes by far. And if you are not a socialist you wont like living here. Indoors for 4 months. Tundra

    Ok this place is a dive out in the middle of nowhere. Other than the music making it "seem" relaxing, note there's a bridge a barge and a very small waterfall. Oh yeah and trees...That's it. Nothing else, the barge has moved on by the way. Don't ever go there unless you plan on just passing through. Sh*thole!
