Marilyn is a direct prototype of Jean Harlow. She deliberately created a resurrection, it was a really good and thoughtful marketing move !! Even the mole is where Jean Harlow is.
@@angeltheundead515 they didn't get in trouble. After it was released Hollywood realized that the culture was changing, and they didn't have to fear the Hayes Code or the Catholic Board anymore. Although the the Hayes Code was still "enforced" til the mid 60s.
8:30 Is this scene cut short? My memory recalls that Marilyn ran all the way down to the beach...in high heels and a tight skirt! "Like Jello on springs" as Jack Lemmon says in part 3. Where is part 9?
0:55. (Closes door) Jerry: What r u trying to do to that girl, putting on a millionaire act? & where did u get that phony accent? (Like Cray Grant) Nobody talks like that. Now Joe, you're going to get hurt because when I'm aroused, I'm a tiger. Why, Joe! Don't look at me like that, when it was all a joke, when I didn't mean any harm. I'm going to press the suit myself. Is it anything urgent? Osgood: Well, it is to me. Will u give her a message? Tell her I'd like her to have a little supper with me on my Yacht after the show tonight. Josephine: Got it: supper, yacht, after the show. I'll tell her. Your yacht? The NEW CALEDONIA. That's the name of it. The old CALEDONIA went down during a wild party off of Cape matteras. But tell her not to worry. This will be a quiet little midnight snack, just the two of us. Josephine: Just the two of u? What about the crew? Osgood: That's all been taken care of. I'm giving them Shore leave. Ha ha! We'll have a little cold pheasant & champagne. I've checked with the coast guard. There's going to be a full moon tonight! Call him back, & tell him I'm not going. Joe: Well, of course you're not. Jerry: Oh. Joe: I'm going. Jerry: You're going to be on the boat with that dirty old man? Marilyn Monroe - what a gorgeous woman she was. What a sick and tragic waste of a life. Big question is though....did the Kennedy's have her blood on their hands? we'll never know for sure.
I love this movie! But I hate how Joe act with Jerry. He is manipulate him, he scares him, he stole his bracelet! He also stole Winstok cloth... He isn't the best man. Hope Sugar will bring him to the bright sight.
The moment when "Josephine" rise from the tub ...😂😂😂
The way Lemmon says “NOBODY TALKS LIKE THAT” while mocking the accent 🤣🤣🤣

"What does it say in your crystal ball?"
Oh goodness. Jack Lemmon has me crying with laughter everytime. Equal tie with All About Eve as my all-time favourite.
It’ll take a very special segment of people to watch a whole movie in 10 minute segments
I'm one of THOSE people 🤣
Without doubt one of the best films ever made .... do you know why? It’s because NOBODY TAWKS LIYKE DATT!
Marilyn is a direct prototype of Jean Harlow. She deliberately created a resurrection, it was a really good and thoughtful marketing move !! Even the mole is where Jean Harlow is.

When she runs upstairs with flowers Tony knew she took some tablets look at face approaching stairs stress
Love this film ❤
Tony Curtis looks a lot like Eddie Izzard in this movie. Ironic?
Marilyn what a sexi dress!
Hilarious how the censorship board review eventually gave it a "condemned" rating.
What's that mean?
Wow Marilyn!
She give in to tonys ways on this film
Best comedy ever made

In bath scene she says see you in band stand girls in her own voice lol
Very comical movie. 🙂
Very revealing dress, looks more like lingerie. Strange it passed the sensors.
FoxySonia it didn't. They never submitted it to get approval. They released it just like that and got in trouble.
In black and white it doesn’t look that provocative
The board review eventually gave it a "condemned" rating.

Joe E . Brown is funny 😄
Monroe tells Curtis married and always cheating on her there was something between them on this film for sure
0:56 "What are you trying to do to that poor girl putting on a millionaire act"?
Me: She said she wanted a young millionaire with glasses.
That real captain guy of the yacht... Is that the guy that played the first live joker?
The first actor to play the Joker was Cesar Romero, Osgood the captain here was played by Joe Brown
This film was made in 1959 and actual in 2021 ❤️ The best movie 👍👍👍 But Marilyn Monroe didn't like it. I wonder why
Oh was tonys baby for sure and Miller was checking dates I believe

I don't think she was everfaithful sadly if court
I found this movie very funny when I watched it years ago. Now that I see it again, aware of the alphabet people propaganda, it's not so funny.
So watch repulsive John Wayne movies, then. There's a reason why few movies are made by conservatives.
@@Kareragirl Why do you assume I buy into the conservative/liberal dichotomy? Two sides of the same coin. *eye roll*
So many weird replies..sounds like from the USA by the content.
There were no alphabet propaganda back then. Don't let sjw idiots to ruin good movie. They will be offended by it anyway.
Alphabet propaganda? You sound like a lazy boy in elementary school...
1:09 Oh, hello. 🫠🤣 How'd that get past the censors??
