    Mine has a vine 7 feet long. And another one 4 feet long after 2 years of care and love(420 smoke). I'm going to cover my bedroom roof in vines that are suspended by hooks. So that the vines can lay on a hook instead of being punctured by tac like I've seen in another example When I was 13( 37 now).

    Great video thank you! The Brazil philodendron is not easy to find here in Australia and if they do sell it, they're so expensive! Can't wait to get one and I'll watch your video again for a recap ☺️

      I agree! I am also in Australia. It is my most expensive plant purchase. $30 for 2 little propagations in a 10cm pot. I cant wait for it to grow enough to be chopped and then add some propagations back to make it bushier.

    Hi! Have your philo brasil ever looked like it’s dull and thinning(?). Mine doesn’t look as shiny and vibrant.

    So I just noticed on my Brazil a white variegation on a leaf. None of the other leafs show the pure white color rather 3-4 variants of green from dark to light. This one leaf has white. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thoughts?

      Erin S. Maybe it is not a philodendron Brazil. Look up photos of philodendron Rio and philodendron Gabby

    I have alot of green leaves on my Philo Brasil. Will it produced variagated leaf if i cut away the green ones?

    • @PlantBoy
      @PlantBoy  Před 3 lety +2

      Good question. I believe any all green stems will stay green. It’s a hybridized plant and has unstable variegation. This is similar to other variegated plants... e.g. a marble queen pothos that turned all green.
      Your best bet is to cut back the all green stems to encourage new growth. Let any variegated stems grow out until they are long enough to propagate, and then plant them in a new planter or back into the same one to increase the amount of variegated chutes you have.
      Increase the amount of light the plant is getting. Typically, the more light, the more variegation the plant is able to maintain.
      Check out my video called, “Variegation 101” for more info.

    Half of my leaves stay wrinkled/curled, even after watering. Any idea of why this might be? It’s placed away from a window, indirect bright light.

      I have a similar problem. An expensive one shriveled & died near a south window. Now I have a small one from Wal-Mart for $5, & I am worried that the same will happen to it.
