    Ordering a new lid and o rings to see if I somehow over torqued the lid on the cup. Called Graco said that’s possible . Second time it let me down when I needed it . Graco said if it sprays H2O which it does it should spray paint . We’ll see….

    My mother bought one of these for me to paint her room after it took me 6 hrs to paint one coat of primer that didn't even cover. I asked the man in paint depth his recommendation for mask. He said he never wears one. I chose not to. I found out after about an hour (which is all it took me to paint the room and that's with learning how to use it and the multiple times I had to refill) that I had more nose hair than I ever wanted to know. Was painting white over steel blue. Blue still showing through after priming but one coat of white with this sprayer and it was covered!

    Things I hate about painting:
    1. Prepping/moving furniture or covering it with plastic
    2. Taping edges
    3. Sanding or patching the wall
    4. Buying the right quality paint (don’t waste your time and money with cheap paint)
    5. Uneven “zebra” finishing
    6. Wife decides 1/2 through the job she doesn’t like the color 😡
    7. Drying time and odor
    8. Cleanup, mess, waste, spilled paint
    9. Moving furniture back
    10. Do it all over again in five years cause wife says she’s “Tired of the color.” 🤬

  • @JohnKendall05
    @JohnKendall05 Před 2 lety

    How is it for spray dust/overspray? I have a Graco Magnum LTS 15 for large jobs. My only beef with it is; the spray dust/overspray will get everywhere, even up under things you have covered with plastic if you don't have it all taped down and covered. If there is a way, it will get paint spray on it. So it ends up being more prep work than it's worth unless you're going to repaint an entire home and completely empty that home of all items before doing so.

    • @dougw938
      @dougw938 Před 3 lety +2

      I think you just need to practice your pace/technique on some scrap cardboard, higher the speed faster you need to move the gun to avoid buildup, and viceversa on the slower speeds to avoid gaps. All materials are different so there's no 1 magic speed and pace - that's why I chose the VSP over the dual DSP, more control.

  • @billymacktexasdetective5827

    This thing makes a huge mess. The amount of overspray is unreal. You better cover EVERYTHING that you don't want paint getting on. My favorite part is sticking to the ground when you walk because it oversprays that much. Plan on taking your shoes off to leave the work area. And it lays down a very uneven coat on the low setting, every single pulse of the motor leaves a corresponding light spot on what you are painting. The high setting is much better coverage but you also increase the amount of overspray at the same time. Clean up is also extremely messy.
    Given the amount of prep it takes to protect everything that isn't getting painted, the uneven coats and the pain in the rear clean up, it isn't worth it. I could see using this if you had a dedicated paint booth but if you've laid out that kind of cash, you've already bought a professional sprayer...

      Not a big deal with sprayers, they're all inherently messy. As long as the overspray doesn't build up so much to clog or impede the pumps air intakes it's no harm. Soapy towel, wipe it down..
