The power creep in this game is starting to become a bit overbearing. High elf spearmen used to be some of the best low tier infantry, and now they're getting knocked around rather handily by regular polearm humans who don't even have shields.
It’s the ap and the fact that the silver shields are providing no utility
polearm > spear and shield
there was a reason most armies used pikes instead of giving spears+shields, polearms are kinda OP
I'm never not annoyed by how poorly elf (HE, DE, WE) units perform. Gameplay necessities aside it's just ridiculous. Dudes should be absolute monsters compared to most races. Instead they are fancy wet noodles.

The base game balance has been broken since ikit claw lmao.
Regenerating ammo and nukes spam.

idk what your talking about this is a tier one unit and they are amazing for the cost. some of the best cheap spears in the game. Kislevite warriors are MASSIVELLY overtuned. the spears never stood a chance becauss kislevite warriors are broken strong.

It always confused me that the spear militia of the high elves are called Spearmen and not Spearelves.
Because all models in a spearmen unit are men. Simple as that. This isn't Lord of the Ring.
@@joydjinn8692Nope, high elf troops are almost exclusively mixed gender.
@@Nithavela As much as I would love to see some "Brothers of Avelorn", it is not the case. You can see it on their models. All HA units are men with the obvious exception of the SoA.
@@joydjinn8692I'm not talking about the models, but about the background lore. And yes, the sisters of averlorn are an exception, they are exclusively female. But spearmen, for example, are both male and female in high elf lore.

It has no lore sense at all... by far... Not only Elves have more training and technique, they also have better armor and spears.
Kislevite warriors got nerfed in patch 5.0
This is the biggest issue with WH3, it’s all unbalanced garbage with every new DLC unit being stronger than the last. They no longer consider lore, tabletop sheets, unit type and roster functionality when adding new content. Wh2 wasn’t perfect but it was close enough for modders to simply fix it with a handful of tweaks. WH3 is completely broken and requires too much of an overhaul to fix.
Warhammer 3 races are OP as heck. Warhammer 1 races are getting reworked. Warhammer 2 races are just left in the dust.
Some balancing work would help with this, DLC power creep.
