- DVR XVR No HDD Problem solved! on my Dahua DVR/XVR No HDD Beep
Hi, guys, i have Dahua 4ch DVR/XVR which had No HDD problem. That means HDD was not detected by the DVR machine when the machine on. There could be so many reasons behind this problem. I have tried so many attempts and successfully solved the problem.
Problem could be
1. DVR/XVR Power adapter problem
2. HDD SATA cable damage
3. HDD power cable damage
4. DVR/XVR circuit problem
5. Hard Drive could be damaged or corrupt
5. HDD Power supply from the circuit is not right (less than 12V and 5V)
In most cases, the DVR/XVR power adapter replacement will solve the problem. you can use one of your CC camera adapters. (adapter should be 12V and 2A)
In my case, the power adapter was the problem.
Replace your HDD SATA cable and power cable may solve the problem.
Check your hard drive on a desktop computer. If it is okay then the problem is on the adapter or DVR circuit.
If the hard drive has a problem try to format it or replaces your hard drive.
If everything is okay then maybe the problem in the DVR/XVR machine.

Amazing, the whole problem was I accidentally used the camera power supply for my dvr, switched to the right adapter and instant fix.

Your comment very helpful. I had mixed wifi adapter with dvr it shows no Hdd. Then i changed the adaptor and it start working again
I had the same problem , after reading your comment i tried using compatible adapter of other device,and it worked perfectly. So bought a new power adapter and problem was solved. Was scared that i might have to change HDD but changing power adapter was enough.. Thanks a lot

How many amps power adaptor
12V 2A(amps) is enough. you can check also with the adapter that comes with the camera. It is also 12V 2A
