I hope you never completely lose your South African accent, Christi. It's adorable.😉
Shoreh Aghdasloo, an Iranian actress often plays with a thick accent, and unique voice, and she is one of the more complex heroes in the Canadian shot TV Show, THE EXPANSE. She's been nominated for an Oscar as well, and she doesn't tramp down her accent too much in Star-Studded Hollywood stuff like HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG (With Jennifer Connolley, & Ben Kingsley) --- alibeit she plays a gruff terrorist in 24, so there is that..l
As a South African Indian, when I am calm I talk Kiwi, when I talk normally I talk British, when I'm angry I talk Indian 😂
I was wondering about this. Dankie dat jy deel!
Jy’s welkom! Happy to share, and always feel free to ask a question. If it has general appeal I can try work it into a video.

I just discovered your channel and have been enjoying your take on the Calgary/Canadian experience.
The trouble with having a South African accent AND surname, means that every conversation starts with "Who do you support in the rugby?" What I want to reply is "I'm Australian mate, and live in Victoria, and I don't watch rugby!" But I just say "Australia, of course!".
Haha, but of course, you should love the game of cauliflower ears: You are SouthEfrican!
The ciguirit!

Some of us are better at being *parrots.* I lost my Sarth Efrikin eksent rather quickly, and I cannot get it back. I sound like most English speakers from the western half of North America. Dis nou afgesien van die feit dat ek nog Vrystaat-Afrikaans kan praat, wat anders is as daardie Gautengse manier van proooht.
😂 op daardie spesiale manier wat net Gautengers kan.
