@Ghillie334 Yep, stress to plus +6G-4G. So rolls and loops are no problem. Its more down to the engine. My Jabiru doesn't like negative g, so everything has to be kept positive. Its not an aerobatic plane per-say but even Cessna 150's will aerobat. Most aircraft will, some are just better than others. So yes Kr2's are quite aerobatic...
@Ghillie334 It cost only £8,000 to fly down to Australia all in. Every cost, and we went to some great places and spent money on seeing amazing sights. So traveling the world should cost about £15,000 over two years. I'm a licenced aircraft engineer so I can service the engine every 50 hours myself. Around the world and sight seeing will take about 500 hours. Overhaul is 2,000 hours. So there is no problem... Watch this space! Leaving next MAy 2011.
@burtythepilot sweet! behing able to service your own plane helps im sure! i have one more question is the kr2 aerobatic at all? slow rolls or anything?
Wow you are seriously... serious? how much money would it take to make such a flight and how many days? Also how do you keep flying after youre engine should be rebuilt every so many hours?
Some of the impressive performance stats in the entire industry! That's the plane (or plane/pilot combination) to 'getter done'!!!!!
I am very impressive my friend ,we built one KR2 IN Ecuador very nice plane and faster , wish you good luck in your journey
