I want to keep watching this over and over .... love the owl ... and your voice soothes me. Nuttin' better - lampwork instruction!!
If this is lampworking for beginners then I don't stand a chance, but your work is incredible!
I came across your videos today and couldn't get enough. He is adorable and your marathon of instruction is great. I'll be making my own owl tomorrow and post a picture. Thank you for your videos. They really inspire me. Teresa
Loved how you created the eyes with cumin and raking! Owls are so sweet, and I can’t wait to try this one!
That’s crazy!! That little
Bead looks JUST like a barn owl. Wow. I’m rather new to CZcams as a professional wildlife artist ....I can tell I have a lot to learn. Ha ha. Thanks for putting out such a great tutorial and I look forward to more
Thank you for showing the beginning shape info. I want to use my presses more but I always crack my bead release. I like the way you use your pick. I like to use mine to pull dots into hearts too. The marvering in between steps is so helpful. You taught me a new way to shape with my razor tool on this video. Leaving one color on top and not melted in is a great technique. I cant wait to try this one.
Hi TJ! Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm so thrilled that you found the tutorial helpful and you liked the techniques I demonstrated. I hope you'll tune in next week to see my next tutorial, I would love to hear what you think!

Hi Leslie! Thank you for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the feedback! :)
So beautiful!! Thank you!
Again, I could watch you make beads all day! I need to get a rake and make a razor for fine tuning.
Thank you, Karla! You can get the rakes at Frantz and most glass shops. They work so well and I use them on nearly every bead I create!
Thanks! I really appreciated seeing the full iterative process of using a brass press, and hearing about how you used the silver glass.
Hi Courtney! I'm glad you enjoyed it and found my tips helpful! Thanks for watching! :)
Even better than the first one. Very clear directions. Much harder than you make it look! I love the eye technique. Can't wait for next week! Thank you again Kerri :)

Adorable! Wish I had seen your video when I had started working with sculptural shapes. :) I think it's well filmed, I like your voice-overs, )explaining your thoughts as you go along). I am going to try a few of these ones. I've always admired YOURS. :-D

Hi Debbie! Thanks so much!!
How awesome, Kerri! A+ and I will start using my rake, too. ♡
It's a great tool, Helen! I use it for almost all my beads! :)
Kerri Keffeler I use an exacto knife for every bead, but did move my pick from left to right side of torch, giving it honor. I made twisties and used it to even out my stripes, pulling them down around the blobs. Thanks to you again. ♡
I loved this video it’s beautiful but may I ask why you haven’t continued to post videos??
Another excellent video! Thanks for sharing. :D
You are so very welcome! Thank you for watching!!
Loved this, new to me was using stainless steel tool to remove little bits of extra glass. Thank you!
Hi Clair! You are more than welcome! :) Now you have a new use for your stainless steel tool! :) Thank you for watching, I'm glad the tutorial was useful to you. I hope you'll subscribe to my channel and join me next week when I post my newest tutorial!
Amazing content! I followed instantly! Question - can you make beads without kiln? I am thinking on starting this craft but kilns are so expensive!

I will NOT be making beads like this. I'm still beginning to learn this craft.
I'm a historical reenactor, and am interested in old traditional forms. That said, this video was very inspirational.
Could you provide a materials list for each video?
I'm a reenactor as well and will be creating videos on period style beads in the weeks ahead that I hope you will enjoy! :) The glass I use in this tutorial is Effetre black and light ivory, Raku and Double Helix Aurae. I hope there are some techniques in this video that will inspire you and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime! Thanks so much for watching!
How did you make the raku stringer?
You start with a rod of Reichenbach Raku colored glass. Heat the top of the rod in your flame, slowly rotating for melting evenness until you have a pea sized blob. Remove from the flame and let rest for a couple of seconds so the glow dims a bit (you may even see a "skin" or "film" appear, that's the glass cooling down and letting you know it is time to pull). Take your tweezers and grab a pinch of glass from the pea-sized blob. Hint: the longer you let it cool out of the flame, the thicker the stringer will be (hotter = thinner). Pull on the pinch of glass away from the rod in a straight line. You will now have a thinner line of glass attached to your main rod. Chill your tweezers in your bowl of water, and then come back and grab the stringer at the bottom where it meets the main rod. The drop in temperature should cause it to "chill off" (break off) from the main rod. If it doesn't, give it a wiggle with your tweezers until it does. Voila, you now have a raku stringer for decorating your beads! :) Hope this helps you.
