The only thing I need to know is😢 why the tour starts at Pipeline and not end there?

Bc then Toledo can’t win the title. That’s why they changed it to CA.

Oh and also better swells as long as they do it when it isn’t garbage

All we need to know is how lame WSL is. It needs to go back to the way it was. End the tour at pipe and get rid of the mid season cut. The final 5 at tressles is the worst idea ever. Make surfing Great Again

I like the Backdoor Shootout as a basic model

@@roguebossathat’s what makes it unique tho. The tour is fine as it is except why have the final at a wave that is underwhelming compared to all the other stops and why whoever decides of the windows to have the context suck so much at their job is beyond me. Like last year was plain garbage, pipe wasn’t even a shadow of itself even in the finals (compare it to the Dahui just few weeks prior that had incredible swells and perfect conditions) I mean just a year before it was epic and now I felt I was watching some nobody contest on a beach nobody heard of, not the pipe dream. Sunset was just garbage swells not sunset performing as it should. Portugal was meh, all the Australian stops were meh at best. Teahupo was most disappointing cause from memory only one day had teupes looking like it should the rest were just garbage and felt same as the underwhelming pipe. Jbay turned on eventually but started slow and the rest was too underwhelming for me to even remember. So idk if they are more focussed on keeping on a schedule than offering the best waves in the world at their peak (that’s what it seems to me) and honestly tressels shouldn’t even be there. Pipe as a final seems too technical to me. I mean if we’re talking real pipe then it’s pure piping barrels which is awesome but surfing isn’t just about barrels to be fair. I like it being first because if you put in the work and take the risks you can take the edge early. High risk high reward, you might push and get a comfortable lead going forward or you might push too far hurt yourself and take a step back rather. I like that and swells are usually very abundant in January so if you do it on the right day like 2022 if my memory serves or last year Dahui you can really have a show for us and everyone is happy. For a final I’d rather have a wave that offers variety. A wave that can give you a nice wall or a clean barrel or a perfect ramp and as a spectator you don’t know which it will be. Tressels just ain’t it, anybody can surf that wave and do well. I’d rather a wave like Haleiwa or Jbay or Margaret river that will ask a lot of you and will keep you on your tows but play your cards right and you can do some sick stuff. I’d rather have Sacarema as final where’d you have to go find those nugs rather than sit at the point and wait 20mins for a 3ft set wave then wait another 20 mins for another 6-7 and call it a day. Or better give us a spot we don’t know that will throw hands with you. Force the surfers out of their comfort zones then the great will separate from the average and real champions can be born.

Why isn't the event in December? Hold on let me ask the bracil team...

December has whack swells compared to Jan. Last year they just picked the worse window to have it but the year before that was epic. Even this year the Dahui put people on the spot at maxing pipe, anyone who’s ever been near that wave knows how terrifying that is even from the beach. December are the first swells and the sand is all over the reef hindering the pipe we all want. Late jan after the first swells cleared the sand are best. Look at 2022 and it was a beautiful clean reef and clean barrels not the nonsense we had last year. They just have to be patient and time it right it rush it and move on to the next event as quick m’as they can.

I’d like to add that Tressels is garbage why not do the finals at maxing Haleiwa where the great separate from the average. Or they scared John John wouldn’t be detestable there 😢 or do it in france during those heavy winter swells, it’s like a all you can eat sick barrels and airs
