Great product ideas. We were looking for a basket for our pooch. Thank you!
Thanks, CJ! There are a few out there but this is the one I felt the most secure with. Gotta keep an eye on the puppers while riding.
You can turn walk mode off. Pages 30 - 31 of the manual explain how.
1. Press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously to enter advanced mode.
2. Click the power button until P21 shows on the display.
3. Set walk mode toggle to 0 (disabled). The default is 1 (enabled).
Thanks, enjoyed, personal experience is what I enjoy, along with personal advice and suggestions. I am 70, just bought a Lectric XP 2.0 Black Step-Thru E-Bike, about 50 miles so far, live in Michigan, so Cold weather will limit my riding, but I plan to go to New Smyrna Beach Florida for a couple months, to my Daughter's house.
Congrats on your new bike! Itâs a fun one and youâll love it in Florida especially.
This is my only type of regular transportation . I have to get help from my family and friends for main stuff
Awesome video! Thank for all the solid advice! Ride on!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for list of accessories!
Very informative and helpful!
Hope you enjoy yours!
Thanks for the tips! I'm ordering the side mirrors for sure!
No problem! Theyâre a huge a help. Have fun.
Thank you so much for your videos!
Youâre welcome, I hope it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
You are awesome. Very informative, perfect speech speed and clarity, no extra time with BS talk. Very enjoyable video. Just ordered mirrors and basket.
Thanks for the compliments! We try to be clear and straightforward. Enjoy your new accessories!
One important item I have not seen discussed is a bright flashing red light either mounted to the bike or the riders helmet. I have a very hard time spotting bicycles on roadways. I have seen bikers wearing helmets with strobe lights so bright I could see them 2 miles away. That and a good safety vest would make biking a lot safer I feel.
I just bought a helmet with back light and i am happy with this safety feature
This was great, thanks and Sophie is adorable
Thanks for watching. Weâve had Sophie for 10 years and she seems to keep getting cuter!
Thank you for making this video. It answered so many questions that I had, like the basket for your dog. I have a 7 lb. Maltese and I do want to take her along with me. Oh! Also the side mirror. That is important to have as well. Again thank you, and God bless You! Sincerely; L. Coggs
Glad the video helped! Iâm a fan of the dog basket and Sophie absolutely adores coming with me, so Iâm sure your pup would fit fine and love it.
My favorite accessory the pink dog basket lol too cute
Thanks! She loves it, surprisingly.
Just bought a Lectric E-Bike so I'm looking for ideas and the back basket from Target looks like a great idea, now your pup, she really looks darling and the sunglasses are cute. Thanks for the recommendations.
I think they still carry the basket or a version of it at least. Thanks for watching, enjoy your bike!
Good recommendations. We just received an XP 3.0 step through with Black Friday Add-Ons. I added mirrors, phone holder and the passenger package. I will be considering baskets.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching, glad you
enjoyed it!
A great video miss! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Thatâs a great video . Thanks , going to buy the seat and phone mount . Although I need to wait for my replacement charger and the button that lets you change modes . Iâm glad that Lectric is replacing it for free . The selections button got messed up when flipping my bike upside down when fixing my tire .Itâs definitely my favorite e bike that I owned because of the specs and how great the customer service is .
Thanks for the video very informative looks like your bike set up pretty nice take care enjoy riding.
Thanks for watching!
Cute dog
Thanks!
Great video. You know when you have a pet in your video, people forget about the CZcams presentation. The XP is a cool bike, kinda reminds you of the old mopeds. The first thing people say, "Is that an electric bike?"
Sophie always steals the show! Yep, I agree about it being like an old moped!
love our E-bike
I'm ordering that phone mount tonight. Thanks for the advice
I think youâll love it! I went through a few to find the right one.
I have the same helmet! Definitely a decent buy. Thanks for the link to the basket, been wanting a nice looking one instead of just using a milk crate.
Yea itâs been a good helmet! Iâm still happy with the basket 7 months later, it just looks so much cleaner and sleeker than the crates. Also crates are weirdly expensive!
Bagi has the first out of box seat I wouldn't change. Cloud 9 is good. Nice video
Thanks for watching!
Just a quick tip on the walk mode. You can turn it off if you want. Go into your settings (hold both arrows for 3 sec). Cycle down to P21. Walk mode enabled is setting 1. Walk mode disabled is 0. The manual should walk you through it. Might help if you keep hitting it by mistake. Good luck.
Thanks!
A mirror is very important for safety/survival especially in high traffic areas. I unfortunately gained weight during this pandemic but the right thing that I used my stimulus money on was a Lectric XP Step Thru ebike . I desired higher Class III speeds (20 to 28 MPH) so the standard freewheel with 14 to 28 gear teeth although satisfactory I replaced with 11 to 28 gear teeth on them for those speeds. Another thing was due to my heavy weight (230 pounds) range was quite limited to about 11 or 12 miles with the 500 watt -hour Lithium Ion battery. I watched another persons video where he added a 960 watt-hour 48 volt 20 Ampere-Hour secondary Lithium Ion battery pack to it to almost triple the range. This was exactly what I needed for longer 3 hour assisted bike rides.
It of course voids the warranty by such a modification. He placed his battery pack in a big RockBros truck bag with panniers and so did I. I don't use the panniers rather the trunk bag is mounted with zip ties on top of my Lectric XP pannier bags which are more spacious and I use them to store my bike tools and groceries t shop for in.
On my long rides I go right by a grocery store where I shop for food on my way home. My rides are usually around 25 miles in distance and there are a lot of elevation differences in the ride.
I am a over 60 heart patient so aerobic exercise is therapy for me and losing excess body weight is crucial as well.
I got the same Cloud 9 seat. Thanks for your suggestions and a good helpful video
Wow it sounds like youâre really making the most of your bike! Thanks for all the info, it sounds like itâs working out well for you. Thanks for watching!
Did you lose any weight?
@@irishkazolotse Yes I have not a great amount but about 20 pounds. It keeps me from gaining wieght
My favorite accessory is the dog! Somehow, I don't think my border collie or my cat would appreciate a bike ride lol.
Thanks for the vid. I'm looking into possibly getting an XP Step Thru 2.0 for mostly pavement use, so I was looking for users' experiences in urban environments. Good info on the stock light brightness, which is a concern I had, since I'd be using this for evening errands frequently.
That's our favorite accessory too! I've seen some riders tow their bigger animals behind in a trailer but those things are not cheap either. I think the 2.0 version has addressed most issues that I had with my 1.0, so I'd say go for it! Definitely get a better light and seat though. This bike is great for small grocery runs (i.e. beers, a couple things, a trip to the post office) once you add the basket.
I bought a zoom post for $15 at the walmart website, it looks just like the Lectric seat post and it works well.
Thatâs a great deal! Glad to hear itâs working.
cute dog.
I find the Suntour seatpost to be fantastic, and I'm on paved roads about 90% of the time.
Life is better with a dog!
If anyone is watching this in June '23, the comfort seat and suspension post are being included for free, I don't know how long that deal will last.
cutest dog, she looks my my boy Pom.
Is he a mix? We think our dog Sophie is a Pomeranian mixed with something else, not sure what!
Great advice ... just got ours and I think intercom helmets are in order :) kisses to Sophie
Thank you! Yes, I hear the Sena helmets are popular for talking to each other while riding.
I really enjoyed the part where you talked about taking your dog along on bike rides. I would do the same but my dog is 29 lbs.
If you really want to they do make trailers for dogs!
Cool! Waiting on my 2.0 and I did order up the lectric mirrors so I'm hoping they will work out ok. Will be doing and extra head and taillight and of course, led wheel lights!đ
Gotta have those led wheel lights! Great for summer nights.
We do night rides at our Arizona winter digs. Lots of seniors jumping on the e bike thing. And we do light up the night! Spoke lights plus downward facing lights. Really looking forward to many more riders this year.
Sounds like fun! Is there a big ebike community in Arizona?
We have a fifth wheel and winter in a RV resort of 2265 lots. It is a very active place. Lot of RV people are getting the lectric bikes. Lots of rad rovers too. Can't wait to get my 2.0 out at Quartszite this winter! Full moon night ride in the desert! We may be old, but we refuse to grow up!đ
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention we are about ten miles from lectric bikes in Phoenix!
i live in new york city and i carry my bike up the subway stairs , very heavy bike to lift up stairs. so i think i will try walk mode to carry my bike up the stairs
hello aimee, have you used walk mode to carry your lectric up stairs?
Yes ma'am same here
I feel like there can be such a stigma around people using electric vehicles because theyâre too âlazyâ to ride a regular bike, but in reality it allows for so much more mobility and gives opportunities to get around in a much better way!
Hi, thanks for the video! Does the rear light get brighter when you use the brakes - like a car brake light? thanks.
Yes it does get brighter, sorry for the delay, must have missed this one!
Super helpful video! How did you mount the side mirror? Did you have to enlarge the hole in the side of the handlebar? Thanks!
It mounts to the inside of the end of the handlebars. You have to cut a hole in the end of the grip. Most of the mirrors are installed this way.
@@ELECTRIC-DNA thanx
good video on accessories
Thanks for watching Tim!
@@ELECTRIC-DNA for your helmet protection you choose Date Night Mike? Why not Prison Mike? Maybe even go with Recyclops, I could get you Stanley helmet so you can slide down the stairs. Found your channel by accident and love your selection of bike accessories. đ€

@@ELECTRIC-DNA My my how the turntables...
You think youâve been pranking me this whole time, but youâve been feeding me for weeks! MEATBALLED!
Really informative Video Aimee. Thanks for all the tips. Just wanted to ask how you secured the wire basket to the back rack? Your reply would be appreciated. Greetings from Minneapolis
Hey there, I used a few zip ties. Thanks for watching!
Thanks again. Looking forward to your next video
Amy my name is Robert R curry I got me a lectic xp step though white model ordered my ebike on April 7th of 2021 and got my ebike on May 29th 2021 and have the sandle bags and basket. And this is my first ebike and I love my ebike. You gave me wonderful advice
Glad to hear you love your bike and enjoyed our video! Where have you taken it so far?
Made a few short trips had a doctor's appointment the other day normally I have to use medical transportation and now I no longer have to use medical transportation for my local doctors. And know I am able to take my time
Wow thatâs great!! Itâs always better to be on your own schedule.
Did you get the 10 x 10 cloud 9 seat or the 10x8??
If you make a mistake between the headlight & walk mode, tap the brake and it will turn off
I have an e.bike with all the same dementions in a different model RKS E.BIKE .. Litraly
same frame, same tires 20x 4.0 and 7 speed shimano gears, if youre looking for a quality bag if or when the PANIERS give in there's a strong brand by the name of ROCKBROS with hideaway paniers when not in use
My favorite accessory is the charger, because without it the whole experience would not be as good.
Thatâs fair, I think of that as more being part of the bike but it would definitely not work without the charger.
Hello there, can you recommend another suspension since the one you recommend is no longer available? TIA
Hi, I've heard good things about this one: amzn.to/3c18Slx
Aimee, Any insight as to how to attach the mirror to the handle bar? The grip looks to be a solid piece and did you have to cut it? Great video BTW.
Thanks! Yes youâd have to cut it out. You can probably find some CZcams videos on how to do this.
I believe you can turn the walk mode off in the settings.
How did you attach basket zip ties? I juar ordered same bike so Iâm excited to do your idea just ordered dog basket đ
The back basket was held on by zip ties looped through the basket around the rear rack. The front dog basket had its own mounting straps. Have fun!
----- Walk mode is great if you have a flat tire.
Awesome review and my brother wife love đ Pomeranian dogs đ so yes she a cute doggie đ¶ good clean đ§Œ review on Lectric XP nothing you said was bad about this bike, please wear safety glasses eyes đ please đ ok đđ¶đ€đđœđ€đđœ
When you fold up your bike is there anything you find that you have to remove? Particularly the basket on the back.
The basket doesnât get in the way at all luckily. Biggest thing to remember is to remove the key from the bike so you donât break it off inside the battery. When folding, the pedal can hit the key and snap it. We donât find ourselves folding the bike much, though weâve heard using big plastic bins makes moving the folded bike easier.
How did you attach your basket and is it easy release? Thank you
Hey Marcia, I think you commented on Instagram too but itâs not quick release. Itâs a few black Velcro straps wrapped around the handlebar and the stem. It takes a few minutes to get on and off.
2. quick questions, As I get differing answers. Can the Battery Be removed on the Lectric 2.0 for charging? Does the 2.0 have a horn ? (If so decent or bare minimum)
We only had the first lectric model. It did not have a horn. The battery was able to be charged outside of the bike. Not sure on the 2.0.
does the cloud 9 seat fit on the stock XP 2.0 seat post?
Yes, it should fit!
Can a shock absorbing stem/handlebar system be used on the LECTRIC XP LITE? Since this ebike does NOT have a front suspension a shock absorbing handlebar would probably be a SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT for the XP LITE.
Hi, Iâm not sure but I would think so. The lectric customer service is pretty good so they could probably tell you for sure.
As a new owner, I am surprised that Lectric would continue to put a seat on their product that so many report as not good, then turn around and sell a better seat. I bet if they looked real hard they could find a way to put the better seat as standard and reduce the added cost in some other area. I would rather have a good seat and have to buy a rear rack.
I agree, but for some reason they keep putting the cheap seat on. Probably to keep their initial cost of the bikes down.
You can turn off walk mode. Press arrows up and down same time, then press mode button 21 times and change to 0
What about the handlebars? Stock?
I kept them stock but ideally Iâd get bmx bars. I havenât yet because you canât fold those down, so you canât fold the bike.
What is walk mode?
A mode to walk alongside a self propelled bike up a hill or through rough terrain
How do you secure the basket to the rear rack?
Just black zip ties! They held up fine.
@@ELECTRIC-DNA awesome, thanks
I am not at all surprised the panniers are garbage. I ordered a set , but cancelled them after receiving some of their other optional parts. The Lectric bar end mirrors cost $39 or you can buy the exact same mirror, sans logo, for $12.99 from Amazon. You can get a somewhat larger and better quality mirror for $17.08 again from Amazon. The Lectric suspension seat post is crap. The DJC Zoom is a better seat post at $31.90 from Amazon. I do have personal experience with all the parts I have mentioned.
Yea, I definitely wouldnât buy any of their branded items. The panniers degraded pretty quickly and Iâm happy I didnât pay for them, since lectric sent them to everyone for free when I was ordering them.
@@ELECTRIC-DNA I have had so many problems with this bike "XPremium" I truly regret buying it.
The lectric?
@@ELECTRIC-DNA Yes, stripped bolts on the stem, I needed a breaker bar to loosen the axle nuts, I ordered the comfort package they kept the original. The bike wouldn't open out of the box, it took 2 men to open it. After we got it open and on the kick stand, I walked toward the garage. It immediately fell over chipping the paint on the fork. The suspension seat post collapsed with my 195lbs. It is supposed to handle 220lbs. The brakes and derailleur were way out. I was told I should take a picture of the seat post. I presumed while riding the bike. I'm 74. I just didn't see how I could hold the camera and ride the bike at the same time. Of course I got the "we recommend taking the bike to a bike shop" at my expense line of crap. I was an avid rider in my past and never took a bike to a shop for anything except wheel truing. There are other problems some of them being experienced by numerous others. I do not buy $2000 bicycles every day. I have come to dislike the bike and to be honest, I consider it a POS.
Sorry to hear you had such a poor experience with the bike. I really enjoyed mine but donât have it anymore as I wanted more power. My mom now has a lectric lite and she loves it but I have also heard of people getting âlemonsâ that just donât work or have a lot of problems. Their customer service is usually good so Iâm sorry that wasnât your experience.
lol...why in the heck does Sophia have the best shades...lol
SeriouslyâŠhow does she look so much better in shades than I ever have?
Dog in front basket?? Think about the effect on steering!!
Stock seat is actually pretty good, so DON"T throw it out.
Weâll have to agree to disagree on that one.
I identify as a female on the weekends what seat would you recommend for obvious reasons đ
I really love my Cloud 9 seat and am still using it a year later, it's this one: amzn.to/31JzCRF
âWear your helmetâ
Yes, we should in North American, but we should realize that this is only a Bandaid for the real problem, and we should demand safer bicycle infrastructure from our government. So that one day, we wonât need helmets, just like in the Netherlands. Nobody wears a helmet while cycling there.
Gravity is always going to be there, though.
Single?đđđđđđđđđ
Okay, don't throw it in the trash. Donate it, give it to Goodwill.
We donated it đ

"By" accident.....not "on" accident.....but you're cool....thanks !!!
it is no joke about these small cheap looking Styrofoam bike helmets. a friend went over the bars at speed while riding down the road. saved his head, just a bruised ego. instead of a concision. worse.
I ainât wearin a helmet
My friend nearly died falling from an electric bike without a helmet. Your choice but Amy warned you.
Weâve witnessed enough accidents to ensure we wear our helmets, at minimum. Just last night we watched a helmet saved someoneâs life after a nasty spill. He walked away because of the helmet. But everyone is an adult and can make their own decisions.
I ordered a trike from lectric but all the Damn adds are for 2 wheelers tell them brothers to get with it already..... THANKS
