    This all was very interesting and educational! Thank you for this video, I loved it.
    I've recently started mine aswell, won't be going too large though.
    20mm does seem tempting, but I like the idea of wearing large gauge pinchers and rings without trying to find proper eyelets to fit them through haha

      Glad to hear you got something from it 😊 Jewelry options do get more limited at larger sizes. That's one unfortunate thing. I used to love wearing curcular barbells but I can't really get away with that any more 😂

    Your cat's great. Thanks for the video, very interesting and helpful. Haven't heard or been able to find any of this information anywhere else

      She has no respect for personal space what so ever 😂 she's lovely. She's very affectionate. Thank you. I'm glad some of it is useful. It isn't something I hear discussed a lot, other than occasionally on very specific forums.

    No links in the description! I'd like to check out the jewelry manufacturers you recommended in this video.

    Very awesome I found this very useful to help me as i stretch larger. I am at 8mm right now and it has been sore for about a month now. Would you ever consider a video on what to expect when stretching conches? I plan to stretch mine quite large and have not found many videos on large size conch piercings

      Yeah I could do that. I would have to give it some thought first but I can definitely try to put something together 😊 My septum is still a little tender from my last stretch still. It is just a waiting game really.

    Also, do you have any thoughts on going bigger than your goal size, just to make wearing the goal size jewelry more comfortable? My goal size is a 0g, which I'm currently at. But I'd like the jewelry to fit slightly looser, for comfort reasons. I was at a 0 for perhaps 5+ years, after a decade of being at a 2. I had a nose surgery done back in 2019 (unrelated to my piercing) which made it so I couldn't put any jewelry in my piercing hole for like 2 months. When I finally tried to put my jewelry in again, I found that the zero would not fit. So, I just put in my 2 gauge jewelry instead of my zero. Of course it went in with no problems. And through the end of 2019, all of 2020, and until very recently, I've been wearing a 2g very comfortably. I think part of that comfortable feeling was due in large part to the fact that my septum piercing hole was probably at around a 1-1.5 millimeters larger than a 2g, which is typically 6mm. I'm thinking that my nose was more like something around 7 to 7.5mm. So I'm thinking that perhaps I'll size up to a 00g or 10mm, heal it for a few months, and then go back to wearing a 0g piece in there, with just a bit of looseness. I recognize that it'll probably shrink a little bit if I'm not wearing 00g jewelry in there, but that's perfectly fine with me, because all I want to wear in there is 0g jewelry.

      Honestly just time and patience. That's all there is to it. The longer you can wait between stretches the better. At least 3 or 4 months should be minimum wait times between stretches and only one size at a time. It is even possible to find hakf sizes from some places. I know from experience it's hard to wait that long but your piercings will be so much healthier in the long run is you do. If you develop scar tissue from stretching too fast it becomes much trickier as they get larger and should you get a blow out the only real fix is surgery. So the slower the better. If you do ever have any issues be sure to let the piercings go naked until they heal (just like I am right now actually) and don't be embarrassed to seek help from a professional. Any decent piercer who is actually worth listening to will never turn someone away who is looking for help. Hope this helps a bit 😊 Sorry for thr delay in replying. I'm useless on here 🤣

    Can I swim in a pool with a stretched septum?

    • @unclebanana
      @unclebanana Před 5 měsíci

      yeah, once it's healed up though. I wouldn't recommend doing that if it's been freshly done
