You're one of the few actually thinking that.. Most people find the big touchscreen "tablet" a very uninspired generic "design" and most importantly steps back in terms of ergonomics.. I hope BMW soon goes back to actually 'properly' designed and ergonomic dashes..
Man oh man couple of years back I was saying to a few of the bmw fanatics that I'll be very much interested in buying one if Bmw can just update the Seats and their Dash to something more inspiring, futuristic and perhaps move with modern times like their design language..anyway bought a M3 comp xdrive and X5M in the mean time.

One of these manufactures need to bring back the standard H manual transmission. Not a true sports car if it doesn't have a manual option.
A giant Samsung glued to the dash and in your face makes you feel like the guy in the factory testing the motor, not the driver.

But IT is one to buy. BMW M2 CS from 2021 with normal gages. That good car, and very good to sport drive. Except Audi S8 for everyday , second IT would be BMW M2 CS with this normal dashboard.

You get used to it. We thought the same thing with ours, but after a year we kind of like it now.
