Hi Tim, you have certainly showed us an option instead of a Petrol generator. This system is certainly useful in most applications. This would be very useful even in a normal house situation if power was disconnected. I have a gas space heater and a gas hot water heater that needs AC power to ignite the pilot light to run things. This power unit would certainly do it. Cheers and thanks for this valuable information, Steve

Hell this is awesome. I need a battery to power a welder. Only 1mm thick steel

Thanks Tim, I do love your channel, I learn so much. I am in the process of setting up a "battery bank" for when the power does drop out. I have 2 generators. But running them at night is costly and very noisy. So, the idea of switching over to the battery bank before nodding off to sleep appeals to me. And I am looking forward to your comments after running it overnight. Cheers PS, your old electric circular saw needs love. Just saying, it's not orange paint on the frame.

TO USE A POWER BANK TO WELD, I THINK WHAT WE NEED IN THE FIELD LETS SAY WE HAVE A small 110 arc welder conected to the power supply, but keep the power supply connected to a 110 power plug meanwhile I am welding. that way we are using and replacing the currient, is that posible , any conflict with That! THAT WAY ITS GOING TO BE A NON STOP WELDING is there anyting like this outhere

great for trips where power is limited and for days on jobs where running a generator might be dangerous

Can you weld wheels to the chassis of the battery with the welder running off the battery? :-)

Would it run a small domestic cement mixer and if you put 2 together, would you be able to weld without it tripping the safety cut out???? Thanks - looks amazing !

I reckon it’ll do it but can’t say I’ve tried. I doubt the motor would draw 2000 watts if it’s small domestic. Would pay to check.

  • @huntersandshooterssocietyo175

Looks like a great bit of kit.
Would 2 linked together help it run the welder better?

I thought that too, but it’s parallel and top draw capacity stays the same

How do you find it is it worth buying as the battery isn’t lifepo4

would this power an arc/stick welder?

I would not recommend any of these sort of batteries for sustained or ongoing use with a welder. Typically an arc welder pulls a lot more than a MIG on low setting. This test shows that the battery can ramp if needed and is capable of a short emergency tack but sustained ramped use will result in lower battery life and poor quality welds.
