Oil Sands Strong's Robbie Picard knows all too well about the dangers of wildfires, having lost his home to one in 2016. He joins Sheila Gunn Reid to talk about fires once again in the Fort McMurray, Alberta, area and what can be done to better protect from these dangers without the hysterical fearmongering about climate change.

Carbon tax still doing nothing.
Canada has one of the largest water bombers that exists. It is sitting on a tarmac, decommissioned ...why is that ?
We had 2 Martin Mars flying boats (one crashed), which are the aircraft I think you are referring to. Built in the mid 1940s, the one remaining is now pushing 80 years of age, replacement parts are not available, and the cost of making 'one off' replacement parts and getting them approved for use is astronomical. Sorry, the plane is now a museum piece.
On the other hand, Canadair makes an excellent reasonably priced water bomber, but our tax dollars are better used buying friends for the prime idiot.
