Using Physics to Remove a Tree!🌳

  • For this tree and stump removal, we started with topping the tree. We left the stump on the taller side, so we can get the benefit of leverage. With the aid of some snatch blocks and the Wyeth-Scott Winch we were able to pull down the stump.

I watched a video of a guy with a tractor and a higher degree in some science that I can't remember struggle for two days removing a stump. He kept preaching pulley math and quoting theories. More money and schooling than the ability to link muscle to mind. The comment section was lighting him up about what he had done wrong. He hid behind excuses and accreditation. Meanwhile, you made this look easy with practical applications of equipment and force without pretending to know what you're talking about.

I’d like to remove a tree that’s next to my house, maybe 5 feet away. It’s ugly and it’s cross bred it something somehow 😆 it was here when we bought the house. But the house (neighborhood) is only 15 years old. We normally are a DIY type of people. But with the roots being so close to the house my husband is afraid we could damage the foundation..??!! It’s just a small tree maybe 15 feet, and less than 15 years old. I wouldn’t think 🤔 that could happen. Any ideas? Heard if we cut it to a stump then there was a chemical we could use to get rid of the roots??

    • @Fomites
