best portable washing machine - Věda a technologie
I have the Costway 20-lb washer with spin-dry compartment. I’ve had it for two weeks and I love it. I set it up next to my utility sink in the garage. I use a garden hose attached to the sink faucet to fill the washer. I can drain the water by holding the short machine drain hose in the sink. My only complaint is the lint fuzzies that are all over the clean laundry. I’ve read that if you add distilled white vinegar to the rinse cycle, this will cut down on the lint. I’ve done one load of laundry adding the vinegar and it did help.
I ordered a Giantex but received a Costway. I think they're the same basically. Just had it on Tuesday. It's fairly big. Used it in my bathroom. It did the job. I filled it using a bowl from the sink. It's quicker. Then emptied the outlet hose into the sink. It has a pump.
Yes, but some things are different. Like capacity, twin tub, etc. Thank you so much.
@@gadgetbuygear yes, mine is a twin tub.
@@michaellomax2 That's good. 👍
This was my biggest question. We can’t hook it up to our sinks, good to know we can fill with a bucket.
I have a panda brand and mine is very quiet. Have had it for 3 years now and still working very good.
Thanks for your comments 😊
Thanks for the video. I'm about to buy another portable washer, as i live in an RV. I had my first one for about 2-3 years, loved it. Worth the money, and no trips to the laundromat.
Good luck!
@3:16, background center left, you may see The Scream... Thanks for this useful review!
Thanks for the tip!
Notice how they show you how easy it is to hook up the water input, but they NEVER address the ever aggravating answer to draining the water? The drain hose needs to be on lower ground than the unit. You CAN NOT just happily place this on your kitchen or bathroom floor during drain time.
Thanks for your information.
I need one for my rv. I recently got rid of my huge place to live on the beach and I am really trying to downsize but laundry is an issue.
Please check the description.
Will the cost way or the 1st option be able to wash AND dry a queen sized blanket (average blanket;not comforter)?
Yes, you can wash small size blankets.
I doubt it. A queen sized blanket takes up most of the room I my full size front load washer.
No. It won't.
I got the same question
They have a 40lb option for the first one...
Will any of the portable washers handle king size sheets?😊
I haven't yet done any research on portables. Saying that, are these machines loud during the spin cycle? My Apartment has thin walls and would mostly be using the machine in the a.m hours
Can't say. You can try one.
If it's balanced, no it's not noisy. If it isn't you'll have to chase it across the floor. Balancing the spinner is IMPORTANT.
Please which of these is the quietest? I don't want a noisy one.
I've had the Costway 26lb for about a year. It's quiet unless you unbalance the spinner 🙂
I live in a SMALL upstairs apartment, so I set it on a memory foam bath mat, and my downstairs neighbors don't even hear it run. It's lightweight so when I need it I bring it in the bathroom, load it with a shower hose (see note), and drain it in the toilet. The spinner gets stuff ready to hang to dry pretty well. I have a clothes rack I hang them on to dry, and jeans are dry overnight. You can hang them outside (if you can) in the sun, and they're dry in an hour or two.
(note) The clip on sink hose that comes with it is pretty bad, but I have one of those shower heads on a hose. With it next to the tub, I just stick the shower head in it to fill it. WHICH YOU HAVE TO DO MANUALLY... Don't walk away or you might end up with a BIG MESS...
This is FAR FROM a normal washing machine, you have to spin after wash, rinse, then spin again (moving items back and forth), but if you don't have washer hook-ups or a drain, it's a HECK of a lot cheaper than dragging your stuff to the laundromat!! Also, this will NOT CONNECT to normal washing machine hook-ups, but you can use hoses into the tub if you have them.
You also don't want to put a lot in at one time!! I try to keep it down to 2 pairs of jeans and 2 shirts max. It cleans better that way. Doing whites, same thing, and use less water, the bottom will work as a scrubber (no more racing stripes) 🙂
Best purchase I think I ever made!! Still works great and for under $200, you can't beat it!!
Thanks.
I had a Giantex. It was quiet. The spin cycle was a little loud but not too loud to disturb the average non Karen neighbor.
@@mikeh8416reading your review makes me feel better and better about spending the extra money on the Black n Decker 3.0. pretty much all that extra crap that you added on you don't have to do with it because the Black & Decker is pretty much exactly like a regular washer just smaller. I was thinking about going for that cheaper one I am glad I didn't based on your review.
I didn't think these were real or would be any good. My girlfriend just suggested buying one and I instantly said no because it didn't sound real. Now I feel very stupid and must apologize now. This will save us money and we won't have to walk to the Laundromat every week now. Thanks for the video gonna recommend this some friends who also have to wash clothes at a Laundromat.
I wish i knew about these when i was living in my apartment
That's good.
for Giantex, if washer is 18 lbs and spin is 8lbs, do I have to do the spin in 2 or 3 times?
Yes
pls someone can help me to know if these portable washin machines are weaker/ wash less?
Please watch the full video.
They are SMALLER CAPACITY than a regular washing machine (a LOT smaller). Depending on which size you get, the large one is best if you don't put more than 3 pairs of jeans and 3 or 4 shirts in it. But it ALSO uses less water so you won't be wasting any, but you may have to split loads if you have a lot to do.
It's fine for a couple that don't go through a lot of clothes, and even if you DO have a big family it can do light loads to keep you from going to the laundromat as often. Great for doing the undies etc...
You know, with some pebbles and biochar, you could run the used water through and reuse it.
Did not mention whether the machine can run on 12 or 24VDC?
If you are trying to put it in an RV just use an inverter.
Thanks for your valuable feedback 😊
my washer side won't drain does the hose need to be lower like gravity empty ?
I read on another post that someone with another brand put it on a pedestal to facilitate emptying. Perhaps if you raised the drain above the drain line that may help
It should PUMP the water out if you have the selector to "Drain". If it doesn't, you MAY have a lint clog. Mine does that now and then. Take the end of the drain hose (over the tub or sink while in "Drain"), and give it a good blow. Seems to clear it right up!! My lint trap has NEVER caught any lint, but the drain sure has!!
5:02 Does this machine have a heating element to heat water ?
Maybe not.
Thank you for your answer
No they do not. You have to run hot from your faucet. Even REGULAR capacity washers don't do that.
@@mikeh8416
Thank you for your answer
just turn on your hot water
I feel like the first one would turn into a hamper
Choose another.
So what are the price points
Please check the description.
Around $200 US is a good price point. My Costway 26lb was JUST under $200 last year. They may have gone up a bit.
my washing machine is not working, is just stopped what should I do?
Contact the company.
Which one’s the cheapest
How do you connect the hose to the washing machine
Please check the description below.
Don't, it's kinda pitiful. If you have a shower with a hose sprayer, stick the shower head in the washer to fill it. If you don't have one of those, GET ONE, they're VERY handy (even when taking a shower 🙂)... Put the washer next to your tub/shower and you should reach it just fine.
@@mikeh8416 Agreed! That's exactly the way I fill mine up! The hoses that come with these things are atrociously short, as well as cheap plastic (I guess that helps keep the cost down though). I love mine, and am so happy I don't have to walk over to the laundry room in my apartment complex and spend eight bucks (often more) as well as have to often wait for an empty machine!
@@Juraiprince The length was less of a problem than the connection. It's made to push over a faucet, except it wouldn't stay on, but that's a SMALL annoyance compared to having to go to a laundry mat!!
I've had my Costway for just over a year, and wouldn't hesitate ONE SECOND buying another one when this one croaks. It still works great!!
@@Juraiprinceft Cy
How do you fill and drain it
There is a cheap hose thst connects from the faucet to the unit. You will probably have to buy an adapter. The drain hose comes out the bottom. This is where it gets tricky. The unit has to be higher than the drain hose, so either put the unit in the bathtub or find another way to allow physics to drain the water downward.
Thanks for your information.
can you wash a queen size comforter in any of these
Unfortunately, these portable machines can't handle comforters.
@@hexagonsun79 They Will handle queen sized sheets though.
@@TheBubbaclaw Yep, from what I read, you'd want to wash only one at a time
@@hexagonsun79 I've washed many a whole sheet set at the same time in my Panda. (Top, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases.) It can just handle the sets too.
it is a step up from hand washing...it isn't a washing machine like you are use to. It just is basically for LIGHT clothing. Putting anything heavy from water weight will kill them off fast
Are they all comes with the dryer feature?
DO THEY COME, not ARE THEY ALL COMES. Correct English.
@@mjremy2605 Thank you so much for correcting my English sir. I will certainly look into the grammar one more time.
@@mjremy2605relax. You seem to understand what he was saying. Just answer the question if you have an answer. If not move on
I’ve been looking into buying a portable washer and dryer. You would have to buy a dryer separately or maybe consider hanging your clothes to air dry
@@lesliegarciaperez26 thank you so much for the heads up
Does anyone washer spark wen it’s on wash mode
Please check the description.
All of these currently unavailable 🤦🏼
Only the US is available.
These are shit, the wash doesnt get the soap out of your clothes no matter how much you dump buckets of water through it. Those hose is to small to fit on any tap. And these dont drain properly because it has no pressure so you have to have the machine on a small table next to the tub
Try 1/4 cup of delicate woolite scented liquid soap.
Thanks for your comments 😊
Are they really work ?
Yes.
