Thanks for pushing the limits of the mavic 3 ! That info is very assuring. 5 miles. Unfricking believable. I don't think I will be sending my cine out that far. This video reminded me of the first time I sent my phantom out. The original phantom.... go pro hanging underneath. Push record, send it, and hope you got something worth looking at. I sent it out ooover half a mile and lost sight of it. I had a bad habit of yawing some when I would gain height. Anyway.... I pulled backwards on the stick hoping it would just back track. After a few minutes still no sign of the dawn thing.... I'm freaking... I got my brand new $800 drone and $300 gopro both MIA somewhere out there. In panic mode, ikilled the power to the controller. I watched for another couple of minutes utes. Nothing..
I jump in the truck and go on rescue mission. I looked all over my pastures with no luck. It was getting dark so I thought I might see the lights. Not a sign anywhere. Called off the search and wrote the whole thing off as a complete loss. It's dark. I get home, go out to get my controller and see flashing lights. The darn thing made it home all by itself!! It crashed into the porch rail on the way down.
I downloaded the footage and was shocked to see that instead of it coming home when I was pulling back, it Haddon a 180 and was going further away. It went about a mile out, lost signal and was headed home. The dawn thing was almost home when I took off after it. The video showed me getting in the truck and driving off ....lol. I still have that somewhere. My friends couldn't believe it. True story. Man, the technology has improved a million times over from that first bird..keep flying!

Trust me, with favourable winds you can do 10km and back. Always check winds before flying at any serious range. I tend to flick it into ATTI and ride the tailwinds back.
Lol. Don't have addi on the Mavic 3. Lol. ...And I did check the winds.. 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈I flew into them on way out and had a 10 mph winds on way back. There was a bigger problem. No landmarks.. lol

@@PhillyDroneLife I fly the Mavic 3. Just use DJI Assistant 2 and remap Cine mode to ATTI. You don't need landmarks so long as you still have working GPS, just point it towards the red line and follow that.

Damn that thing is fast! My mini 2 max speed is about 32 MPH on sport mode. Hope to upgrade eventually. Insane range as well.

I have to admit I had to subscribe after watching your mini 3 pro long range video now this. My mavic 3 gets here tomorrow and im flying that sucker out there a long way. My mini 3 pro impressed the hell out of me so gotta go bigger.

Wow! Over three minutes with out a signal...nail biter!! What I learned was around 18K feet (3.4 miles) is the reasonable distance to ensure you maintain a signal. Going forward I think the Auto Evo Lite + could be the distance winner while maintaining a remote control video connection.

I don’t use the RC Pro anymore. I always fly with the RCN1 remote and my iPad mini 5. Good job dealing with the freezing problems with the Real Crap Pro remote. Love your videos. Thinking about upgrading my iPad Mini to the new IPad

How were you capturing the screen output of controller?
Screen record.. on whatever device your using and duct forget to make sure the microphone is on the device as well. This way the device also picks up your audio.. that's how most people do it unless they use a rode system etc etc .

As long as you got that homepoint set,,, she's coming back to you.... Now her making it,,, can be questioned at times depending on the weather conditions... In your experience for range and scouting fishing spots do I do the mini 3 pro or mavic 3? Just traveling far distances along beaches/from our boat.
I would say the Mini 3 pro will do everything you need it to or there. The Mavic 3 is over kill but gets you better wind resistants and if course better camera. You have to decide how much wind you get while fishing lol and if that will be a set back .. but for just scouting I would say it works great.. throw it on sports mode and she can handle 20mph winds no problem. Lol. Not to much more though... Lol

Going faster doesn't necessarily cover more distance over battery life. It's different for every drone. I usually test different throttle level / speed to see what gives longest battery life and what gives most total distance.
I see alot of dji guys get worried to come back and go full throttle. Guess that why now dji added that message.
Remember lol. It's entertainment.. I've got 300 plus hours in the air with the camera birds. I know them upside-down and backwards.. lol.. as far as battery life when you fly that much you start to know each battery and what it can do. I actually mark them accordingly. With that being said. My channel is to entertain and get a smile or laugh from you guys. That's it.. lol. There are so many guys so much better at FPV and other stuff so my goal is not to compete but instead stand alone in the niche.. I hope I've done that? Lol. I hear you about the throttle. Yea I keep a excel log on my drones battery life I log average speed and average throttle. Put down mah per time and mah per mph to try get a picture.
Yea I got certain drones I fly sp much I know exact amount of time I got for how fast. I usually check wind speed real quick by speed difference in directions and pray it doesn't change direction lmao
