Man 5 Dollars is so underrated. Doesn't Matter is the album's centerpiece but oh my god 5 Dollars' mixture of joy and grief is gut wrenching.

She does. She has an intellectual background (idk how to say it in English). Her parents are teachers and she has a degree.
Her father is an English teacher in a French university, and she studied in one of the best university/college in France : Ecole normale supérieure.

I saw her perform with her dancers and I was blown away. Now I'm seeing her without her dancers and I'm still blown away. A real unique talent!
I just love this artist, her music, her voice really stir something in me it's an emotional trip with every song, every performance. Someone of this calibre not getting radio play is a crime against humanity.

i saw this video and ran to the album but i have to be honest, this live performance has shown me that this lady has progressed her voice and performance so far i almost wish the album could be re-recorded with this extra passion that shows on this live performance. Chris' performance of Doesn't Matter is absolute passion...i've not seen a live performance like this since Zeppelin or Nirvana at their peak. this is honest, true and emotional music...as rare as a unicorn...i can only wish good things for Chris...she's amazing and i wish i could meet more people like her in real life...seems to be a drought of good people in the world...

You should check out the episode of Song Exploder where she breaks down Doesn't Matter. You get to hear the original track of just her singing and you can hear that she's almost in tears singing it. Truly amazing

Fantastic . I would have been interested in hearing about Dam Funk collaboration? There was a lot of interesting and insightful artistic chat its actually amazing that it wasn't discussed. Big Dam Funk fan and now Chris , amazing songwriting and production and a beautiful voice , ideas, and person. What a pure musical force to get excited about now and for the future,, glad I got on board! Have to thank Dam for that!

Harry Styles made that same Bowie reference about swimming in the deep end where one’s feet barely touch the bottom in order to be challenged and inspired in music. Very brave woman. N Chris is the real deal... Amazing talent, feeling the music n expressing the ecstasy of the music. I'm blown away. U gained a new die hard listener. The intelligence factor is high here n the inspiration is genius. This is up there w Micheal Jackson. This needs more exposure. So glad I found this artist.
