    There was many things I learned here, a small thing that I learned here was interactive and non-interactive streaming services. It's really a small thing but this adds to knowledge.
    Thanks for sharing!

      Excellent that was the whole goal to make these things clear.

    Hello and Thank you for your Gr Work...So Much Learning!
    I have a question:
    Does a music track need/better to be copyrighted
    before uploaded for the stock music market?
    Thanks!

      I don’t usually wait to copyright before I send, but do usually register with BMI before each track goes to stock libraries.

    Hey Eric, do you know anything about Music Reports or Harry Fox? Can I register my music with them, SongTradr , MLC etc without conflicts? I'm really trying to fully understand publishing and make sure I'm getting everything I can. Thanks.

      Yes you certainly can. Music Reports has always paid me peanuts before but I register with them. I am not registered with Harry Fox. They both collect mechanicals from different places so may not pay from certain uses. The MLC collects mechanical royalties from streaming audio only in the US.

    What about Music Reports, what is it for exactly please?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Před rokem +2

      From their site: Music Reports, Inc. is the world's leading rights administration platform, providing copyright research, music license administration, royalty reporting services, and strategic consulting to digital music services, record labels, television stations, terrestrial and satellite broadcasters, social networks, user-generated content platforms, and consumer products companies, among others. From my experience: 3 cent checks. ;)

    16:01 So a Publisher Pitches our Songs to Other Artists?????

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Před rokem

      Sure they can. Because if that artist cuts the song and releases it, they as the publisher get 50% of royalties.

    • @dreamxd9331
      @dreamxd9331 Před rokem

      @@MakeMusicIncome so the only work a Publisher does is to Pitch your songs to other people that’s it? And they also owns the 50 % song? So it’s like you are Selling your song yourself for some placement? And even that placement is not sure?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Před rokem

      The publishers job is to pitch the song as much as they can to any opportunity that might make income. For that work they get the publishers side of income. If you want to keep the publisher side then you can go do that work yourself.

      @@MakeMusicIncome ohhh okkk But the songs masters are actually owned by us right? That doesn’t affect our Copyright right ? Only if they found us a placement then they keep the Publishing royalty right?
      But the original songs copyright is Ours and It doesn’t go to them right?
