This is marvelous to watch! What a nice change of pace from typical HS "spirit squads" that do all the same-old acrobat flips, twirls, and tosses year-after-year. What Yorktown HS does here takes school spirit entertainment to a more mature level of dance choreography like the Radio City Rockettes. For being on a high school level, this is well done! Pay no mind to what LegionDude2 said, the girls here did well for high school, their moves are good!

i'm actually glad that other teams around the country find WA drill worth imitating (though it would be nice if they put more of their own spin on it -- which this team did in some cases). just goes to show what i've always known, that WA drill has some of the nation's most innovative choreography.
P.S. i like this team's breezy and fun pom style, too many technical elements make it boring for people who aren't in the know about what's 'difficult' or not. and their uniforms are quite chic.

It was beautiful watching this. I got here by accident and glad as the hard work did pay off. However, I do have to agree with meeshel914 & some of what LegionDude2 wrote as this not really being dance but it was cheerleading more than anything else. This is not a putdown; I think what you do is great, just call it what it is.

i liked it... and if people think its cheerleading its not... its call HIGH KICK . and POM... not all dances with poms are considerd cheerleading. seeing as they arent doing any STUNTS or TUMBLING.. its not cheerleading. and good luck to yall i like it

If you want to see a real dance team, search for the Klein Bearkadettes and find one of their homecoming routines. Texas State and US National Champion dance team. On another note, this stadium is TINY! My HS stadium holds 10,000. Search The Woodlands Highlanders and College Park Cavaliers to see a real stadium filled to the brim.

this team really needs to work on actually doing dance moves and not kicking every 20 seconds. also they need to be synchronized cuz it just looks sloppy.
