I printed all the parts in blue, grey and black PLA filament and it held up surprisingly well! I would like to use nylon next time for long term toughness, but the performance was still smashing! I 3D printed almost all parts on the CR-10S which did a great job as always. For the assembly you are required 80 screws and 80 washers, I went with 2.5mm 12mm length screws with some M4 washers (4mm inner and 12mm outer) and that worked perfectly! All the parts popped in place, only minor sanding necessary, and the exoskeleton turned out looking madness! 3DPrintIt came up with a fantastic design and it even held up to some quite severe abuse. Smashing soda cans and even the 3D printed Terminator head, I only received scratches at the end of it.

The design is not for punching. It did not even have any protection to protect his hands.
Edward Vinch true he should add some padding for protection
based on what the video showed of how the knuckles fit between the bars, I would assume that the shields (which he chose to leave off) would have mitigated some of the damage to his hands.

Now I'm curious if you add a little bit of padding to the places where it cut your hands if you could potentially reduce the damage you take and make the gloves more effective to use 🤔
An easier option would be to put small padded gloves on, but either way this is so cool!

Noooooooo the Terminator! Awesome project though. Maybe pair the exoskeleton hands with some flexible filament gloves so your hands don't get beat up (and in a dark color it could look pretty sick)

Hazza Mazzard - I purchased two Anet A8's as my first printer, two because of what I had read of some of the issues surrounding the A8. And there are a lot of issues to contend with from my experience. Of single most concern for me was that the smooth rods varied in diameter along their length by as much as 0.28 mm. I ultimately built a CoreXY machine with the parts, replacing the smooth rods with true 8mm smooth rods and adding a V6 hot end with a bowden extruder.
as soon as i get my first 3d printer this is gonna be my first major project. this looks sick!

Pretty much although this is not a powered exoskeleton. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to upgrade to a powered version though. Just a few gears, a handful of stepper motors, and some jointed drive shafts.
Wined and Dined they do provide protection tho?
