Canât complain for 2 hours of fishing. I did go the day before and got nothing. It rained overnight so I had to come back, water turned dirty and the fish came in close. Thank God I landed one. Thanks for watching Fitzy.

A Fishing Project
I was there this morning at Petro Park but water is too low and saw a bunch of salmon down at the parking lot pool. I enjoy more fishing the pier and harbour, but will fish upstream later on when the browns and steelhead show up. Maybe I will see you out there. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.

Last year Iâve caught my first steelhead and my first brown...now itâs in the blood,Iâll have to show up every year...
I even made my own cured roe:)
So Iâm as ready as I could be:)
Also I prefer river fishing,I grew up with a river next to my town...
A Fishing Project
I love river fishing as well, mostly like fishing the deeper pools at Bronte, like the CN bridge and claybank pools. Saw you were at the Credit river as well, I fished that too. Maybe I will see you out there this fall season.

Nice fish Adrian. I am headed up to NY today to do some Muskie fishing and then am meeting up with FitzY on Monday to try to catch some Salmon from our Kayaks at the mouth of the Salmon River. Planning on throwing inline spinners and some crankbaits. Seems like you were using both in chartreuse in a couple of your videos. Got any other suggestions on lures / colors for a newbee when it comes to casting for salmon ? Have a great weekend my friend.

Hey Dominic, I try both casting and also bobber fishing with skein on my centrepin. The skein bite is slow but will get better once the salmon start coming in the marinas and harbours, right now all my fish I caught on spoons. One fish I got on a Rapala husky jerk last weekend. Thanks for watching.

@@robertstreams4362 I agree with you. I also have an inflatable pontoon boat which I venture out mostly out east like Ganny and Bowmanville but have fished Port Credit as well. The Covid situation seems to have brought more anglers out that previous years and with the lighthouse side being shut down to fishing, only the west pier is available but havenât fished it because of the craziness. @@truenorthangler I live near Niagara Falls NY....Close to Olcott NY and I haven't been out yet this year...For salmon anyway....Look forward to browns and Steelheads more lately especially when it gets colder out....the colder it is the less crowded it is
@@robertstreams4362 I agree with you Robert. I live close to Toronto, on the North shore but love fishing Olcott and Burt Dam but in November and over the winter when the cross die off. Browns and steelhead are my favourite as well but now with the border closed, I canât fish down there anymore. I watch Bill and Mike to get my dose of fishing from there. I use the 10â6 St. Croix Avid rod medium action paired with a Shimano Symetre 4000 reel and 20 lb Sufix 832 braided line.

@@gavingerrits5135 Thatâs my main line. I love it. Been using it for the past 5 years and havenât changed it. It has the diameter of 6lb mono and casts a mile. I use a 20 lb seaguar fluoro about 2 feet of it to attach to my snap swivel. I used to use straight braid to the swivel but some days the water is gone clear and can spook the fish, thatâs why I did it.

Why can't you fish there anymore?
They put up signs now Closed to Fishing from April 15-Oct 15. Reason being is the boat traffic going in and out of the harbour and running into peoples lines.

@@williamdougie6213 I guess it was getting really bad between boaters and fishermen. People screaming at each other and city decided to stop it. You can only fish from the other side of the light house, that is open all year.
@@truenorthangler you can fish the other side yes but bylaw will kick you out or ticket your car after 10pm. No fishing at night, which in my opinion is the best time.
@@williamdougie6213 I wasnât aware of that. There was no posting for that. My buddies have been fishing there during the night back in September and never had an issue.
