I am a huge fan of Herman Miller products, and the Aeron has been my dream chair for a long time. I have been using the Aeron Gaming Chair for a couple of weeks now and I am really impressed. Coming from a Secretlab Titan, and a Trial with the Herman Miller Embody Gaming chair, I have a good grasp on this chair's competition and what it does better. In this video Ill be giving you my review and final impressions of the Aeron Gaming Chair. How is it different from the Aeron Remastered Chair? Is this truly the Endgame office chair? Lets find out. Thanks for tuning in!

    Going from a dxracer to an aeron C I was quite suprised by the difference in comfort. The Aeron is like sitting on a cloud. Dxracer is like sitting on a wood board in comparison. Now I always look forward to getting off work and sitting in my Aeron.

    Nice review!
    I've used the "exact same model"(minus gaming features) for a few years now. The only bad thing about this chair is that it raises your standards to a certain level that makes it difficult to accept other chairs, specially for long working hours haha. The amount of customization it holds are mindblowingly helpful!
    Jokes aside, I have a thing called Coccydynia, which makes my coccyx hurt when sitting on hard surfaces. This chair and its customizations helps me very much with that! The net is soft, easy to clean and very durable. Nothing looks nor feel cheap.
    And even though i bought it as a open box product(used in stores), they gave me the 12 year warranty.

    I have the leap and Aeron at work, and an Aeron at home. Aeron with SL support all day. Be warned, the SL support assumes your back curvature is normal. Your back may be temporarily stuck in a warped position if you’ve had bad posture for a while. You’ve got to learn how to properly sit with trial and error and this chair will be extremely comfortable all day.

    10:10 this spot on, I had this for a few days and couldn't accept the hard plastic bits pressing against my thighs in any sitting position other than upright straight. Although, in retrospect that is the point and I'm debating whether to give it another chance, whilst also trying out the larger size (C).

    I got a used perfect condition 2015 model for $675... they only had B’s in stock and I drove 7 hours so I felt like I had to commit. After a few months use I hate myself for not trying a C.
    I’m 6’2 160kg and it really does not fit me. The top of the chair plastic hits my middle-upper spine and the front of the seat only covers half my thigh-in an awkward pressure point.
    Seriously, try out both closest sizes before committing and being a dummy like I was.

    Dope review. Really shows of the chair nicely. I first had the Embody Gaming and i just couldnt get the backrest to work for long periods of time. It always started to hurt either my shoulder blades or my lumbar region. Now i have the Aeron and i just feel like its the better fit. I can sit in it for whole days without any discomfort to speak off. Its not as suppotive (still very good ofc) and you will hit the frame if you stretch but the build seems more refined and there is close to no noise no matter how much you move. If i sit and recline with a straight posture it can really feel like floating sometimes.

      Yes you are right. I’m 6’5 ft tall. And my legs are longer than my torso. I actually have around 6-9 fingers width with most chairs on the market, but most chairs chairs with great back support don’t focus on taller people, so I’ve gotten used to it over the years.

    Any idea what part of the seat they use to make the 22.8" measurement for the high height version? Is that the height measured at the center of the mesh, or maybe from some part of the plastic seat frame?

    • @MoeTechReviews

    I wish they still sold the classic, it was objectivly better, better parts (metal as appose to plastic) and it had infinite tilt lock whereas with the remaster you can have it free to recline in response to your weight or be fixed upright. The arms were also better on the classic since the material was better, less rounded so there was more space and felt better when adjusting, the mesh was also better quality. I supposed the only upside to the remaster is the lack of foam front but with it and the longer seat made the classic feel better still D:

    • @orbispictus6127
      @orbispictus6127 Před 4 měsíci

      Remastered come with metal structure and metal base options too. I heard someone prefer plastic for less weight and they dont like metallic sound. More choices, more benefit.

    I bought the aeron remastered in onyx and it seems that my metal portion is darker than yours (that helps raise or lower the chair) and seems to be currently cheaper to purchase than the gaming version. I did not know the gaming version existed, but I had to buy size A anyway.

I'm 5ft8, 12 stone, I was looking at this chair and it was a tough choice, now I'm worried if I made the right choice, the main reason I purchased an expensive chair with good design is for correct posture as I spend a lot of time sitting for work and my hobbie photography editing, the aerion was a £150 cheaper too, thinking about calling them tomorrow and changing the order to this chair!

    I bought an Embody gaming and I've had it for a week now. It's a really comfortable chair. But I just can't stop thinking about the Aeron for its optional aftermarket headrest because I recline a lot when watching videos or just simply want to relax. I can't do that with Embody because when I recline with my Embody, there's no support for my neck/head. I am thinking to return my Embody gaming for an Aeron because of this.
    Do you have any experience with Aeron headrest? If you do, how are they? Are they high enough to reach your head and be able to keep your head in the right position where your eyes can be at the same level as your monitor?

    7:55, no creaking or any noises, i had to laugh there, i brought the Aeron Gaming Edition after watching your review, after 4 replacement i can report that all of them had creaking and other noises, and the chair is anything else but premium, customer service in Germany is even worse than the quality of the chair.

    Great video! I have a SecretLab Titan and am finding that I still suffer from back pain, so am considering the Aeron. Can I ask you to describe in a little more detail what challenges you faced with the Titan?

    • @MoeTechReviews
      @MoeTechReviews  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks so much for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think the Titan was a great chair when I only used it to game a few hours at night. It was actually better than the chair I had at work so I loved it. When I started working from home though, I started spending a lot of time at my desk. The Titan’s foam is really firm which is good at keeping me up but it’s a bit unforgiving over longer hours. The lumbar support in the Titan is also a hard foam that pushes the lumbar region forward. Because it’s so hard and firm I would eventually start slouching. I felt that the design and materials of the Titan expect me to adapt to them, which can get tiring when I sit well over 8 hours a day.

    • @joshjbeats
      @joshjbeats Před 3 lety

      I have the Titan and I hate it. The backrest is completely uneven and crooked. Many people on Reddit have the same issue and even Secretlab is aware but they use the “handmade” excuse. Made my sciatica so much worse. I’m deciding between the Herman Miller Logitech Embody and this.

    I was so excited to try this chair out but after 2 seconds I hated it. The seat cups the sides of my legs too much and the lip digs into the back of my legs. Felt like a 200 chair can't believe how expensive it is

    • @MoeTechReviews
      @MoeTechReviews  Před 3 lety

      Thanks so much for watching! Maybe try out a non mesh chair, that way there won’t be a hard frame around the seat. The Embody is another chair I have from Herman Miller and I’ve also reviewed it on the channel. Best of luck with your chair search!

    It’s a shame that the base of the Aeron chair is now made of plastic on most variants. From personal experience it will sag over time making it impossible to even drag the chair over low pile carpet. For such an expensive item this is unacceptable. Herman Miller is refusing to fix this problem under warranty.
