I just booked my first sit! It’s a gorgeous historical home in Los Angeles. There were 50 applicants. I followed your rules and they chose my partner and me! I was kind of looking forward to the pets but turns out they are taking them. So, it’s just us keeping watch over this museum quality home from 1-4 weeks. Thank you! Your content is amazing.

Brilliant tips. 🇵🇹My last house sit involved feeding 4 stray cats. It's quite common in Portugal to be asks to feed stray cats and dogs. 🇵🇹
No 2 and 4...I find I often have to insist on the skype call. Because homeowners will say "it's fine we really like you profile and feed back we are happy to book you". As flattering as that is... I'm like but hang on I have questions and need to make sure it's right for me! 😳

REPLAY! And as always, I enjoy your channel Stephanie! I am in process of moving this very minute, and my plans of travel/expat have unexpectedly be delayed ..postponed. Not due to pandemic, but due to being "found" by my husband! Totally was NOT in MY plans, but God had other plans. So as a (Senior citizen) newlywed, I will have to vicariously (pun intended) live my travels through my CZcams, and other media "travels". THANK YOU STEPHANIE, FOR BEING YOU! Good morning , your videos are keeping me company while I search for house sits. I'm really excited I'm going to look locally which I think is better like you suggested. I'm in Pennsylvania and it'll be more affordable as I'm saving money now. If something i like pops up in New York we might hop on a bus, My daughter wants to see Times Square , from a high rise balcony will do.

I was thinking the same but then I noticed that one of the women on here has a house sitting job with her partner. So, I am thinking that you need a partner who understands your why and your motivation and is all in with you to do these kinds of things.

I have a novel idea: how about us black women stop looking for house sitting, baby sitting, maid jobs or any other job where we are serving others in a slave capacity. How about we discuss how we can be the owners of homes and not the sitters.
You’re obviously new here. That’s okay, if you stick around (sans negative comments) you’ll find that everyone is free to choose their own path and that home ownership isn’t necessarily the goal for everyone. The goal is freedom, and that can come in many forms.
