- Played stroke style on a repro Boucher banjo (Terry Bell kit ) with gut strings. I worked this tune up when I was visiting Charleston a few weeks ago and it felt like I was in the Deep South. Thanks to Tim Twiss for the backbone of the arrangement.

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
I love your music, thanks for recording all the civil war songs!
150 years ago people played like this… congratulations for resurrecting this old style of playing in such a convincing way!

Nice.
Awesome!
Utterly amazing... You are truly a banjo master.
Melodious
Pretty f-ing digging this song fir about a year now. I'm glad I came upon this version, the way music should be played, unfiltered uncut, I restructured, raw music
Very nice! It’s hard to play this meter in clawhammer, but you nailed it
Very nice rendition of that tune. I like the tempo that you played it at. Thank you.
Thank you
That the most beautiful Banjo I want to make one just like it or at least get one
Thank you. This was a kit I assembled and finished sold by banjo builder Terry Bell (Bell & Son Banjos). I don’t know if he is still building them but he made very many and you could probably find a used one if you were so inclined. It’s his basic “Boucher” model.
Remember. June 6th is Decoration Day. Thanks to Southern Marksmanship May 31st is Memorial day.
