  • Ben Osborne has been the driving force behind the Woodbridge Music & Arts Festival, a community-run event that showcases ambitious, diverse and quality International line-ups, encouraging local talent and allowing emerging artists to share a platform with established national and international acts.
    For the 10th anniversary the line-up over the weekend included original international and local acts, including Martyn Ware (founder The Human League, Heaven 17), Justin Robertson (The Hacienda/ Bugged out/ Lion Rock), Chis Coco (The Chill Out Tent/ Ibiza), Les Spaine (UK Funk legend and Motown label boss), Ben Osborne (Noise of Art), Auntie L, Jupiter Ray, Latin Heat, Peter Hepworth, Pop Chorus and many more. As well as music, the festival’s diverse and inclusive roster included an expanded arts area, 15 word artists and a pop up bookshop in the literary area, local breweries and bars, Caribbean food, the kids zone and our large eco area in the park.
    Over 10 years it's hosted acts from Canada, Czech, France, Ghana, Italy, Norway, USA and more. Highlights have included headliners such as Coldcut, Orbital, Mercury Prize jazz act Polar Bear, Jazzie B/ Soul II Soul, Mark Moore/ S Express, Horse Meat Disco DJs, Leee John (of Imagination/ Gorillaz and Small Axe),Red Snapper, electronic pioneer David Vorhaus (White Noise) and UK hip hop pioneer Ty - to name a few. We’ve had themes, such as a focus on Scotland in 2019 and Woodbridge Ambient Music Event in 2016, summer schools on the environment (2020), Beatles book launches (2015), Fish Friendly Fireworks (2021), Rendlesham Incident UFO sculptures in the Library (2014) and turning the 700 year old Tide Mill into a techno instrument (2021).
