Aiming on controller is fundamentally different. It’s more by movement and small adjustments with your aim. Most console players, especially in the beginning adjust their aim mostly with the movement on the left stick.
For me that only works on valorant

I agree with this, I find straffing is actually a large part of my aim, because micro adjustments are so hard on controller, by adding in movement, what would be a macro movement becomes micro cause you shorten it by moving. Weird to explain, but yeah, moving is really helpful.
Or going 100 100 for the sense and even then I think it's so slow they need to make it faster I play max sense in cod and it feels so much better

I feel bad for Eskay, default controller binds are horrendous for most heroes, especially Lucio and such. You need to spend hours adjusting for each character, and.... yea.
I never did this when I was on console back in 2016 maybe I should have but think I peaked diamond
I play Lucio with controller and use my left trigger to jump. It takes some getting used to but it works.

I Play on PC with a Controller. Currently Platinum 1.
Main heroes are Brigitte and Lucio. While theres a lack of aim assist I simply hate the console version of overwatch because of how flawed it is when it comes to its visual modes and fov. I prefer to play on PC simply because of that.
I know how limited I am with my setup but since playing I have had a lot of fun and constantly improved over time !

The nintendo switch is an awful console overall but this is a rare win for it. With a gyroscope aiming is 50x better. Its not as good as having a mouse, but you still demolish any sticks only player aim wise
Its weird you can't gyro aim on ps5 though, you can in fortnite and it works perfectly but for some reason in ow2 its switch only
@@joelpatatah7820the only thing I can think of is parity. Switch gets is cause it’s capped at 30fps. PS5 120fps gyro in the console pool would stomp the other consoles.

I suggest changing the settings to 100 for both sensitivity, aim assist ease in around 30 and 0 for both aim ease in and aim smoothing then fiddle with the aim assist window and strength to your liking cuz too much feels too sticky and drags your aim off current target. This is general and I tweak according to character and my Widowmaker has different settings entirely . I hope eskay sees this and it helps including anyone else who sees it ^~^
Forgot to mention to keep aim technique on dual zone but I saw my settings and for widow I do reccomend linear ramp
as a nintendo switch player, that sombra clip hurt, its impossible to not get diffed by her

You need to adjust your settings for ur playstyle, tracer benefits from something like linear with low smoothing but solider would benefit from DualZone with high smoothing
i wish i could help these streamers trying out the controller, but its actually really cooked the way the devs have set things up, not only that but most of the buttons are in horrible spots (Moira's hands are swapped for example) so theres a lot of ground to cover just to walk out of spawn
Moiras hands being swapped drives me crazy. Especially because its hard not to focus on the colors in each hand.
Console ball OTP with 40% accuracy here with a hot take. Aiming on console is harder.

Analog stick aim especially on pc with no aim assist is terrible. I’d suggest giving gyro controls with a dualsense or Nintendo controller a shot. You can get mouse like aim on controller with motion controls. Stay away from outdated Xbox controllers. No gyro is an L
i tried playing controller on pc once as well. i understand why console players default to tank, or specifically rein and winston.

This is legit how I played when I first played overwatch in 2016 (it was my very first fps game on pc). I was so bad, I ranked down to below 500 SR lmao, but once I switched to KBM I climbed to diamond easy :)
Eskay is not wrong about flex Que being tank one week I no joke got over 15 games of tank in a row while grinding weeklies
Depends on platform. I play in both pools. Pc it’s tank queue while console it’s support queue
I just use my movement to click heads 🙂

Honestly? Higher sensitivity and lower aim assist is what i use on console the aim assist messes with non hits can characters. And even adjusting the smoothing and ease in is really important to aim good on controller you need to fidget with the sens a lot
In America atm and only have a PlayStation and holy shit I cannot stand being on controller you are just fucked if someone starts shooting you from behind 😭😭😭

Try playing overwatch with a controller on a Nintendo switch. I use a Nintendo pro controller. You haven’t been even seen what a real challenge is yet hahaha. I’m high plat peaked low diamond on console playing this way and I can keep up with most of my pc friends when we queue quick play. Admittedly none of us are very good at the game lol

The only time I would ever choose a controller over M&K would be racing and fighter games.
This game is never meant to be played on consoles at all. I don't understand that when patches come out why it has to be for the entire platform it needs to be a separate patch between consoles and PC
