So last year, was a really tough year for us. We lost our daughter, Annie. People talk about grief, pain, fear, sorrow. All of these words, can’t really describe how you feel when you really go through the loss of a loved one. Even though we held onto hope, that we would somehow see her again, it was just a brutal time that we were going through, right at Christmas. It felt pretty hard to celebrate.
And then I found this song. It was just a video on Facebook by this Christian artist and he was singing about the very struggle I was having. As my wife and I listened to the words of this song, it expressed exactly what we were feeling. It also gave us what we needed at the time. That was comfort. So many people struggle with loss at this time of year, not just me. If you are missing someone this Christmas, I want to dedicate this song to you. I also want to dedicate it to Annie, my sweet Annie, who I miss very much.

Christmas was so sad for me for many years...then a neighbor told me....."Well think about it. Down here we got fake ornaments, plastic figures for Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and so on. Your Mom, she gets to SEE all this for real...hear the angels rejoice and sing, and see Jesus for real. We may celebrate down here...but honey, up there is the real celebration ! !"

We lost our Daughter Amy on May 6, 2009 and have since lost our Son Jonathan on June 23, 2022. To lose a child is like having your heart torn out, your world turned upside down and leaves you with an indescribable emptiness. They both loved Christmas so much and so do I and my wife. My 14 year old daughter committed suicide on September 7 2020. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays. Her middle name was Noel after all. So Christmas music was her favorite. I'll never be the same but this song gives me comfort.

I lost my 3yo son this christmas after fought a fierce battle against a terminal rare nerve disease..so many times in the brink of death, resucitated and came back again..just to give us a chance to say goodbye properly, to give us more sweet memories and then went to be with the Lord. Not that he had given up, but because he had accomplished his purpose, to remind us to take courage, to be resilient, and to keep the joy no matter what is the circumstances. Its a privileged to be his parents.

I lost Snoopy, my dog, of almost 17 years more than a month ago. She was battling Chronic Kidney Disease and Brain Cancer. She let herself go on Nov. 9th, and she was my happiness. I miss her so much. We were raised together. I've spent more than half my life with her. This will be the first Christmas without her. Thank you for this song...
I lost my husband, but I have also lost pets; most recently our cat, Meow Meow, age 21. Pets become part of our family, and their loss is also painful. I'm so sorry for the loss of your Snoopy. What does bring me joy, is that I believe I will one day get to see my husband again, as well as my lost pets. I don't know what others believe (and I'm not asking for a response to what others believe), but I believe if it's true that "God gives you the desires of your heart," then our pets are part of the love we share now and in heaven. Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I've read them and I find comfort that others know this pain, this hole in the heart, though it still won't go away. She suffered so much, fought so hard, loved so much. That feeling of raw hopelessness and helplessness and uselessness that I felt as her health rapidly spiraled. I wish it on no one. I could see that life in her eyes trapped inside a body that was failing on itself, reaching out. I thank her and the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi eveyday for letting go, peacefully and happily, because what I would've had to do otherwise is a sin that I would be rightfully damned for, in this world and the next. I paid Snoopy a visit today and hand-delivered her little Christmas tree and wreath. She loved going under and opening her presents. Now her and her big sister Pauly, who died very young, when Snoopy was just a child, can play under the tree together forever. Tomorrow, on Christmas morning, I will give my parents the best present I think they've ever had: The only existing video of Snoopy opening her Christmas present that I uploaded on CZcams many years ago. My parents went to a lot of effort to find a video like that, so I think this gift will give them some peace. Not sure if I can show a picture of Snoopy's Tree, but I can share my video. :) Though I am not really in the state of mind for any sort of festivity, I will say this because you all have been genuine with me and I see a lot people suffering right now: Thank you, I love you, and Merry Christmas.

I miss everyone. I just lost my Aunt that was 95. Last family I had here. Lost Mom 3 years ago. She went in the hospital on Xmas day in 2016 snd never came home. Dad 12 years ago. I lost my Dad on Dec 12. Death came so suddenly. He was 67 years old and losing him in my 20s feels too soon, too early.

On June 10th, 2007, Linda and I lost our precious little girl named Maria who was just 10 when she passed. It didn't seem right that we should lose her so soon after her orthopedic surgery. From anger to forgiveness the Lord walked with this dad through the timeline of grief. A few years after her death, my wife and I were led to sit down with her orthopedic surgeon to compare our grief journeys, to cry and lament, and for us to forgive him for this journey wasn't something either of us wanted, but it was the journey we were on. Our faith has given us the hope that we would see Maria again.
I’ve lost 4 friends, 2 aunts and 2 cousins and I just lost another friend last week due to cancer battle. Since COVID-19 I’ve lost 9 people in my life and I haven’t been able to go to any of their services. 2020 for me has been very difficult for all my losses I’ve been experiencing right now. How do you mourn this many. This song is beautiful and it makes me cry. I’m saving this video to listen to again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.

We lost our 3 year old daughter this year. This song was sent to us on Christmas by a family member and brought some tears, a little sad ones, but a while of joyous ones. We feel at peace, knowing she is with her Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ, but we also know that she is with us too! Families ARE forever and that means even if we are parted by a veil, she still walks with us and is a part of our family. This song also covey's our feelings about our daughter this Christmas. Our hearts are still tender and longing for her. The stocking is filled with her favorite things or on display as we honor her memory this Christmas and throughout the coming years until the resurrection day. It's ok to cry, its ok not to be ok, our physical bodies are not designed to take the loss of deep love. Somewhere inside there is something, our soul? our god? a universal spirit? Take comfort in knowing that you are supported by that power. Be kind to yourself for grief is a pain like no other until it is transformed into something only you know is ok. My 11 year old son Caleb passed away after an ATV accident in July. He loved Christmas. We used to make snow angels. His stocking hangs from our mantel. His ornaments are all over our tree. Oh my God!! I’m so understandably sorry for your loss. I lost my daughter too last year. She died in my arms last August 26th. She had been sick for 6 months prior. She was already in stage 4 of liver failure when diagnosed. She was 45 with 3 kids and a new grandson. Unfortunately, as parents, we are part of a club that no parent wants to belong to. What a beautiful song. I lost my 26 year old son almost 4 years ago, and my 4 month old grandson almost 2 years ago. GOD's Love & Peace is Truly Overwhelming. Thank you for recording this song. I will share it with many friends who too have lost a child or grandchild.
Cancer took my oldest daughter this year. She left a 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. It's been hard but as the song said we know that she's with Jesus. Thank you for sharing this song and thank you father in heaven for sharing your son.

I lost my precious daughter 8 years ago on Chrstmas Eve, I truely almost died, then lost my oldest child, a son May of 2020, But today I am at peace, they will forever remain in my heart, and I still have the precious memories, but they are with GOD now, no longer in pain and suffering. No one can stop the pain and hurt but you, but it would be a lot easier to have someone comfort you.

I lost my daughter to cancer at the age of 10, 4 years 5 months ago. It does not get easier as the years go buy but truly knowing she is celebrating with Jesus makes the Holiday Season a little bit bearable. I love this song.

I had to say goodbye to my son 7 1/2 years ago when he died of cancer at 19. You are so right, it doesn't get easier, but knowing he's with Jesus, who he loved, makes a world of difference, and I know that we will be reunited some day. My precious Mom passed away on December 3rd 2021, and my Dad on January 18th 2020. This song describes exactly how I feel. Knowing that they are up in heaven with Jesus is what gets me through when I feel like I can’t go on. I remember that I will see them again someday ❤
