After filming this Reaction video we both went and checked out some of Avatars albums and we quickly became fans! We will be reviewing their new album 'Avatar Country' when it drops on January 12, 2018 so be on the lookout for that! Don't forget to Like and Subscribe if you're new to the channel!
I was going to get on the comments to tell you to give their albums a chance... Avatar has something for almost everyone ... i lovethe albums Black Waltz, Hail the Apocalypse, Feathers and Flesh, Self titled has some that i love..and the new one is growing on me daily... but its so short! Thoughts of no Tommorow, and Schlacht, i have yet to dive into..and ive been a big fan of Avatar since early 2014. Theyre fucking unbeatable live (headlining)
My dad saw these guys live. He’s not a metal fan in the slightest but he said these guys put on an awesome show. If they can convince him to like metal, they must be pretty good. 😂
Discovering Avatar opened me up to a new world of metal I previously ignored (mostly growling). Thank you for your honest feedback and welcome to Avatar Country. New album coming out soon. They are supposedly returning to some heavier, darker themes. Would love your reaction to any of the new material when available.
Became a fan of Avatar recently as well, very unique. Check out the album Hail the Apocalypse. Tower and Bloody Angel are probably my favorites off the album
I saw these guys twice in a very small venue. Paid $6 for my first ticket and a year later in the same venue, I paid $20 for a ticket. I was 5 feet from the stage each time. It was awesome. My son and I got our pictures taken with the band afterwords. The second time we saw them we also saw a band called Gemini Syndrome. Great sound.
Good song,, but definitely different than some of their stuff. They have a unique sound, I’m glad you guys checked some more out in your free time. Hail the Apocalypse is a real headbanger
The clean vocals reminded me of Peter Tagtgren in Pain! (Check out 'Shut Your Mouth'). He also has a melo-death band called Hypocrisy (check out the song Eraser) and he was the frontman of Bloodbath for a while.
These boys are there own band. Every band that exists, has been influenced by some other band (bands).. Good on them. I agree with the long hair guy. Seems like he has an open mind. Love your reactions though fellas!!!
This version sounds like a European Marilyn Manson. Ehich is fine i actually dig this version because of it, but the live version is so much better. (You already know though)
Hell yeah! I just discovered these guys in the last year myself and can't get enough. If you are interested in an entire album of saying What the Fuck, and Holy Shit! Genius music, check out Feathers and Flesh. Be prepared for something interesting. There is a "Fable" that was written to coincide with the album. Its dark, and magnificent. The whole thing is an experience. There are no more of the "Fable" books available in the U.S. Contact me if you plan to do a review on this album, I'll send you my copy. ... I'll be needing it back though. ;)
Guy on right, I'd have burgers and whiskey with. Guy on left, gives me the stereotypical soft hearted metal guy who enjoys cotton candy and occasional dismemberment. No offense to either
M. Swaiti666 I've heard enough to know they're def not Metalcore or Melodeth.. When I listen to them that's what I hear. Hard to label them, which isn't a bad thing.
well they started out as more melodic death (check out "black waltz", for example)and now they are more like avant-guard metal...and if you check out some of their live shows here on YT it really becomes apparent

:)
They were Melodic death in the past .Currently, Their style is really unique.I can say It's more like Avant-Garde Metal
perfect!
you can consider them groove metal as their riffs are pretty groovy and heavy. A bit similar to rammstein.
I described it to a friend of mine as prog-metal

Avatar is awesome! Totally great live!
Saw Avatar live last year, they’re fucking awesome! Put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, and they sound just as good live!!
Would you react to Avatar's "torn apart" video?
Oh Torn Apart

really late to this video, but the E stands for "Ess" I think. That's what we call "Ace" in Sweden
My favorite band!
They are an incredible band. Definitely in my top three

Great taste in music my friend, especially with the Clutch profile pic!

You get a sub from that epic facial hair.
Avatar is considered heavy metal/melodic death metal
These boys are there own band. Every band that exists, has been influenced by some other band (bands).. Good on them. I agree with the long hair guy. Seems like he has an open mind. Love your reactions though fellas!!!

I am definitely digging that album! Out of what I have listened to though Black Waltz is my favourite.
Watch Avatar, "Valley Of Disease"
Some people calls Circus metal
Cirice Teiguel never heard anyone call Avatar Circus Metal...i'm in multiple avatar fan pages over fb, twitter, and instagram... you're the first
It's really sounds like Circus w/ Melodic + Deathmetal...
Guy on right, I'd have burgers and whiskey with. Guy on left, gives me the stereotypical soft hearted metal guy who enjoys cotton candy and occasional dismemberment. No offense to either
Pretty accurate 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Well if you guys ever find yourselves in south central MS, drinks and cotton candy are on me 😂
React to KING 810 - ALPHA AND OMEGA
should check out polaris- lucid :D
should watch hail the apocalypse with avatar
Odd comment, “clean vocals distract me”. There is room for both.
Do let us die from avatar
React to Crabulon or Robototron by Evil Scarecrow
React to SuidAkrA! 👍
The studio verson is better its diffrent and more heavy, you should do anthoer song like the new one statue of a king
Guys who cannot even play reviewing a band who makes brilliant music.
React to Vicarious by Tool , please !
Marian McGregor we're already seen it. We cant react to vids we've already seen
Metalcore...
react to Primitive Man - Victim
Def not a metalcore band. More like shock rock lol. They have some great songs. I also prefer his cleans to the distorted vocals.
Definitely NOT Shock Rock

listen to their song queen of blades, they started out as a melodeath band.
Rob Jarrett doesn’t mean they’re shock rock-too heavy to be categorized to as such.
Avatar is far from Metalcore
