- Just a vid I made when I noticed each character had a little quip about the area they were in. So I decided to record most if not all of the voice clips in the game! :D

It's weird hearing Ryan Drummond calling him Robotnik, when he spends the whole series saying Eggman
True, but I find it even weirder that they didn't take the Thomas and Friends route by having the human characters (including Eggman himself) call him Robotnik, while the Mobians call him Eggman, unless some characters like Sonic and Knuckles were serious.

Robotnik Vs. Eggman.
I personally enjoy when Robotnik and Eggman are used interchangeably. Like in the new movie where he’s referred to as Robotnik most of the time, but whenever Sonic calls his name, he just says Eggman (the only exception being any time any time Sonic feels threatened/the joke doesn’t fit).
I’ve never liked how the games post-SA2 just forgot that this guy had a full name.
This is the Knuckles I love and miss so much.
He wasn't familiar with technology, and he didn't like urban environments - because he spent all his time on Angel Island. I miss Adventure era Knuckles. He was the best back then.

I hate how hot-headed he was in Shadow and 06 and X, and how arrogant he was in Generations and Lost World. At least Forces made him a more competent character again, even if it wasn't the same as the Adventure duology.

I love how the little quotes give insight into the characters though, and even little bits of lore, like Tails' mentioning how the Mystic Ruins has changed since the station was built, or how he'd like to build a ship as awesome as the Egg Carrier.
That last line pays off if you count Sonic X where he had a bigass spaceship
Incase y'all are curious, it was called the Blue Typhoon, it even had its own kind of Super Cannon that uses a very special type of ammo, Sonic the Hedgehog, due to its massive energy consumption it required the Master Emerald to power it which makes me wonder how Eggman was able to power the Egg Carrier when it was Chaos who had the Chaos Emeralds with him?

you ever noticed Gamma's idle lines don't have his robotic reverb attached? I wonder if those lines were last minute additions to the sound bytes.
It honestly doesn't sound too bad without them. This guy voicing him sounds emotionless enough as is.

It wouldn't have been a huge task to put the effect on those voice lines, but it somehow slipped past the English localization team

I miss the amount of neat details the Adventure games had. Hopefully they add something like this into the next game.
not gonna lie, i bursted out laughing at ice cap when sonic said "Watch and learn!!!" and goes out and swears at the avalanche. really good stuff!!! ive always wanted to know what all the idle dialogue was, and i think you got most of it! thanks for this!

An really interessting thing is that Knuckles has an unused line for the final egg-base in the mystic ruins....but only in japanese. If I remember correctly, it is "That's his base...!" according to the cutting room floor.(Don't understand japanese myself.) What replaces it in the english dub is a more robotic duplicate of Gamma's line voiced by the Knuckles VA. "Location: Place of creation."

The ring sound is a bit lower-pitched in the remake, “Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut,” while the ring losing sound is higher-pitched.

Well it's in the form of a mod called: Idle chatter (I think there's a few versions of the mod on gamebanana.) when that mod is installed, I press Z on the keyboard to activate it

They give an idle animation for Metal Sonic ? i don't remember along him with the first sound effect
Technically he shouldn't do it cuz in the original Dx game, he can't, but I think it's an Easter egg from the PC mod that changes him a bit
@@Xyno76 So Metal Sonic by default in DX. I think thats why he leans forward a lot compared to normal sonic to stop him doing idle animations. But the mod to use the model from eggmans base has definitely changed that so he can make the noises when he idles.
If I remember the explanation I heared correctly, the reason they didn't allow for it is that they straight up didn't bother programming any lines for him, so he defaults to Sonic's. And the mod onoy has him make noises because they didn't want to let that nonsense stand.
