@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon hi Bulgarian here I would recommend going in the city koprivshticza(Копривщица) it's a beautiful picture-escue town that has a lot of historical significance and traditional architecture

I agree with you! Some food items you can find similarities and pretty authentic back in the States. But there is nothing like eating that food in the country it’s from. The soil, the ingredients and the tradition is there! And a great reminder to always count change whether while traveling or at home!

The Sofia Christmas Market looked amazing! So much amazing food in this episode - I am definitely hungry now - the Shopska salad, wine and cheese, and the pastries - sign me up!

A few years ago I was in Sofia, but for a short time, so I didn't manage to try their specialties. Sofai is a great place to explore. Not far from Sofia is the Rila mountain, which is the highest on the Balkan Peninsula. Great presentation! Keep up the good work
I plan on getting out of the city on my next visit.
Shopska looks like somebody house inside!! Especially with the couches for dinner chairs haha i love amazing salads!!

The shopska salad looks nice. These European village type feel of these streets and restaurants are very cool. The Christmas market looks lively and lots of different foods to try. Nice one.

Welcome back again in summer time, and start eating with Tarator, Drob sarma "a dish made of lamb offals and rice" Shopska or Ovcharska salata. 😃 So called home made Rakia and Wine most of time are better than the factory one. Eating in different restaurants or cities it is very important that each region has a different way of preparation and a different taste of products. If you find pure Bulgarian food products the taste is many times better than that of imported food products "most of time"
Oh next time I'm in Bulgaria I'm going outside the city. I want to explore the central mountains and the east coast
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon enjoy your stay I recommend Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo city and Seven Rila Lakes in Rila Mountains. For sea beaches they are all good now it's up to you which ones you like just research before going, we have all kinds. You can spend good time in city Varna, the city have big Sea Garden, but the beaches are nicer around the small towns, far from sea ports.

Bulgarian food looks really good, and both local places to eat and global chains like McDonald's are there which shows how diverse the food scene is. Your video about Sofia is great! It shows off the food and interesting parts of the city well. I give it two thumbs up for being so enjoyable and informative!

Sofia can be pretty cold in the winter but it's very hot in the summer. Those huge trees everywhere, gardens in each corner and the massive parks are there for that particular reason 😉.
The wine tasting looks amazing. I have never had Bulgarian wine before. How fun!

You can actually get mekitza in the USA. Most traditional Native American restaurants in Texas and New Mexico would have them.
Turns out all poor people with limited resources fry simple dough at some point of their history.
Mind they serve it with beans.
Also turns out its a breakfast staple in Mongolia.

I did, they have a sandwich there called a Roshti Burger. I think I spelt that right. Anyway it's a Bacon cheeseburger with a hash brown in it.
