I just want to say thanks for this. Since I found out about my Moon-Pluto and it’s impacts I recently found that me and two of my siblings (3/4 kids of my moms) ALL have MOON SQR PLUTO. We have different dads, all divorced from my mom. As the oldest child I see how it started negatively impacting me, so currently trying to guide my siblings on how to deal with OUR MOTHER as we all share this placement. This is so on brand and accurate.
Also, have a Mars-Pluto aspect and let’s just say, I need to take up boxing to let out some excess energy built up because I see how serious this energy can get and don’t want to cause harm.

I've done my chart a few different ways, and one astrologer told me I have a moon square pluto aspect, but all the other methods tell me it's a quintile aspect. And honestly, given how powerful the square seems to be from your examples, I'm thinking the quintile is correct. I definitely have experienced minor versions of these scenarios, but they were a lot subtler? Like, my mom also tries to control how I dress and what I eat, but she does it through passive aggression. Like she'll say "my child would never wear that" or "oh, you know I was reading about how bad meat is for you". It's interesting because I'm a 1H moon, 10H pluto, so a lot of that manipulation seems to be about my sense of self and my body, as well as the public image people see of that body.
That makes a lot of sense to me. I’m going to hold on that, the quintile aspect representing some kind of passivity

It's the way I've been thinking about getting access to your Patreon for months and months now but never quite got the timing right to be able to pay. Yea, well imagine having pluto in Scorpio square both my sun in aquarius and moon in leo. Not only that my sun and moon are opposed by degrees so it makes a tsquare in my chart.

My experience was very different. My mom’s Neptune is conjunct my Moon/Pluto. When there was manipulation it was typically subtle. She let our boundary be too thin. The emotional incest term fits better. I became her best friend when my stepfather & she split up. She has no problem interrupting me while I’m on the toilet, so the privacy issue fits to a degree. My stepdad was pretty strict when I was little.
I relate so bad. That lack of privacy/boundaries is real confusing!
The abusive relationship thing happened to me too. Told my parents and they didn’t believe me bc I wrestled for 10 years and shouldn’t have been able to be abused, apparently. Moon conjunct pluto for me
This is why self-awareness is so important. I hate being triggered especially if I find out that whatever that trigger is not meant to hurt me. When you have self-awareness you become less triggered and you indeed act calm and collected.
I have mars trine pluto as well and I know for a fact that when I am extremely provoked I can be pretty violent, I'll throw out things or perhaps just hit you with my hands and I don't like it at all coz it feels heavy, my air stellium doesn't like feeling extreme emotions and sht. But most of the time, my moon-mars-pluto would manifest as brutality in words which would by the way cause psychological trauma to the unfortunate soul that would get hit by it.

i feel very lucky that my saturn & sun is trine my mars. I have the mars-pluto-moon triad. Mars opposite pluto, both squaring moon. But i feel like that saturn trine to my mars keeps me in check even when emotionally unstable. It really pulls the energy back enough to not do anything crazy. Saturn in the 2H tells my mars "you're better than that"
this was so real. my moon pluto conjuction is in the 6H and i have experienced massive anxiety and triggers around school, but i do incredibly well under pressure in high stress situations as you described, I can handle emergencies perfectly, but someone saying the wrong thing in class can rlly trigger me 😭

I have moon conjuct Pluto in the 2H, both in Sagittarius. Mom never supported anything I had a passion for, and always said my creativity wouldn’t provide the income I needed to be independent. Both her and my brother found me at fault for being sexually assaulted- which resulted in me moving out but ended up moving back in. This really makes so much sense.

So interesting how this fits my mom to a T. Everything down to the not liking locked doors, and reading my journal, but she doesn't have Pluto aspecting her Moon at all. She does however have Pluto in Leo (children), opposing her Sun in the 10th, as well as Nessus on the Asc, and Saturn and Lilith on the Desc, which all form a grand cross. She has an extremely challenging chart.

wild. We have a very very similar set of childhood occurrences. I have Mars sq moon, Mars sq Pluto, and Pluto opposition moon. My mom basically had me locked up & controlled for about a decade. Took all my stuff away, wasn’t allowed to have friends or leave the house unless what she wanted me to do, etc.

wow i wasn’t sure if i would relate since my moon is only semi-sextile pluto (but my moon is in scorpio) … i’m 30 mins into the video and i was trying to think about what kind of crisis my dad was going thru (bc he’s so closed-off) but it hit me that when i was a child, when it became clear that his career wasn’t going anywhere, that’s when he really started coming down on me and my sibling and controlling and manipulating us to do extra homework outside of school that he monitored and controlled despite there being no good reason to do that and obvious signs of emotional distress from both of us 😦 this helped me understand him so much better just now bc i never really feel like i know him bc his sun falls in my 12H. he transmuted his personal hell of realizing that all of his education and career experience wasn’t getting him the success and recognition he thought he deserved (his career stagnated despite “good” credentials bc his personality is so horrible) so he took it out on his kids by controlling us to study more bc it was somehow supposed to get us “ahead” (when really the unnecessary busywork and emotional distress put us “behind” if anything) he’s a sag moon too (higher education)

My mom didn’t suddenly change like this until after she had my last baby brother. All of a sudden we had several strict rules everywhere including no tv during the week, less time at friends, etc. crazy!

Hi jade :) I have an Aries 8h moon trine Pluto. It’s rough out here. My mom was very controlling when I turned 15. I recently thought about the time when my mom went thru and threw away my drawings and discouraged me to continue. I usually try to keep a distance from her. Around the time I was born my dad was cheating on my mom and my mom was pretty depressed giving birth to me. I feel like that metaphorical death has followed me ever since. Also I was born under a dark moon phase, i wonder if that has to do with my intense short lived relationships as well.

My 10h Aries Moon exact trine my 6h Sagittarius Pluto. My Grandma died when I was 2, and my mom was left to take care of my angry, alcoholic Grandpa until he died a few years ago. He was especially awful during that time, and I was normally the one helping her since I seemed to be the only person he tolerated. He wasn't a very caring or considerate parent growing up, which was then passed on to me as my mom invalidated most of my feelings and experiences growing up. In true MP fashion, I also had ridiculous outbursts of emotion that took away my "credibility" in her eyes. I realized recently that her Pluto is also exact conjunct my IC.

My moon in 10H Gemini is so close to my 11H (they’re both in Gemini)...my stepmother was the most abusive one out of the bunch (as compared to my mom and dad) but all three of them fought with each other so much and turned to me to pick sides. From the ages 6-12 I had to basically BEG them to BE THE GROWNUPS and stop trying to make the kid pick and choose.

I have moon in virgo 5th house square pluto in sag 7th house and my sun is there as well conjuncting my pluto and squaring my moon so I think my father is heavily involved in this aspect as well. Problem is I have trouble determining/remembering everything that happened to me when I was young and sometimes I tend to downplay it like “oh it wasn’t that bad” because I don’t wanna play victim (i have a tight mars neptune conjunction as well and i try to be cognizant of that lol) and I don’t really wanna talk to my parents about it either right now. Pluto also has to deal with hidden things so I feel like I don’t even know everything surrounding my upbringing and my family.

powen internal struggles, major mommy issues, trusting others and trusting myself. Deep and intense emotions. i feel like my emotions have to br transformed and learned from as i get older. I also feel like q loner/ the different one.Burrying my emotions is not good but i do to keep the peace SOMETIMES lol. Its hard feel to feel vulnerable when it comes to my creativity, relationships, and even children.I do believe self worth is EXTREMELY imporant. I also dont want kids because of how i was raised and fear of repeating cycles. Being vulnerable is a huge thing for me.
