- We have our first event since Christmas for Tarkov! This one kind of mashes together Christmas and the Halloween event from last year, but with some new mechanics and systems we've never seen before.
The completion of the event will probably bring us spring, as well as more episodes of The Chronicles of Ryzhy.

Unpopular opinion, but the Snow made the game way more fun, A lot of my friends quit this wipe when snow left, being able to actually see people made the game a lot more enjoyable imo.
You only see them if they move so therfore NO ONE MOVES
Not really unpopular opinion, but it is very dumb to me that they brought it back in the spring. They took it away too early. It was still winter and now it’s spring and we have snow make it make sense.
I liked it but was over it near the end, but enjoying it now it's back but it will wear on me. Just got a few inches of snow, spring is unpredictable for weather and if it came and went that would be cool.
Visually I love the snow. But MY FOOTSTEPS are WAYYY too loud

The frostbite made my buddies gun jam. It wasnt the normal jam message but when he reloaded the whole gun froze up till he got out of frostbite radius. Probably just a wifi related glitch but we were fully immersed when it happened

I found and killed 24 of them around 1 bonfire in 1 raid. Then I died to a normal fucking scav who just materialised into thin air in front of me while I was taking a stim to get out with my 98 kgs of loot....

I’m wondering if they are testing the impact of being cold in some way. Like in DayZ if you’re cold you will shiver which makes noise that can give your position away.
Last time they kept the snow for so long, it turned from "awesome snow" to "when will this retina scorching, deafening, annoying thing finally end?"

Snow is great. It helps to counter bush campers (virgins pos) a little bit.

Never explained how to complete the ritual. I Have found that you just need to shoot a regular or player scav from inside the zone. PMC's didn't seem to do it.

I came across a massive audio bug that just started i was in resort behind the counter in admin waiting on others to start the followers I heard nothing they all got killed in the halls and outside I heard nothing
instead of fixing the dogass sound and the inconsistencies and the backend errors, they add broken AI with aimbot in 3 spots of the map, usually where people want to do quests. Thanks. Appreciate it
If you take out the spawn waves of the followers before lighting the fires, do they spawn again after the fires are lit?
From what I’ve seen/heard no. If you light first and try to kill, it may seem like it since I guess they don’t fully spawn right away

Do you lose rep if you kill the followers as a scav? I killed one and didn’t look if I lost any but I just looked right now and I lost .5 whole points… I’m not master fence anymore. I didn’t kill anything or anyone else. Just one that shot through a scav at me and I wasn’t happy about it

An easy way to kill followers is to play between 22:00 and 5:00. They have the same day/night cycle as the other AI, meaning their reaction time is higher and they spot you from lesser distance.
They also, like the cultists, have a very low temperature so they don't appear on thermal sights.

One thing you missed and I am not sure where it comes from, but I am seeing dead guys with zero'd out guns. All of the weapons are red set to 0 and the maximum isn't more than about 20, so they are really, really dead guns. They are useless. I didn't try to sell them to the traders yet (but I can be honest in saying I sold a couple on the flea... sorry to whoever paid for them). Weird effect, not sure if it also nulls the ammo.
Noticed even multiple Dead PMC's weapons were at 3 durability (never seen that before) ...
AS Val is useless.. and the max was around 24... WFT ???
@@tomlutz3260 It appears to be the weapons of the guards... once you kill them, they stuff is "dead".
Anybody having issue of locating effigy not registering for evil spirits quest. The one where you kill a follower is checked off but not the first part.

Its a fun Event, nice Action draws all together and you can Farm Equip to go out Chadmode like no other.
Still i guess its an absolute NIGHTMARE for new players on Ground zero right now. The Quest doesnt tell you that the AI is friendly. And they roll 9x39 MPs + lvl 4-5 armor.
On nearly EVERY scavraid i do on Ground Zero, there is 5-6 dead players around the event area. Dont think they knew what was going on when hell broke lose around them

Just did this on streets heard the birds and everything and he didn’t spawn we look every where did we mess something up
Im fairly sure the cold effect from being near them also degrades weapon durability but i could be wrong

@@Airwingmarine ya im fairly sure i saw weapons they have super low durability. And my weapons seem to have less durability then they should for one raid

bruh the scavs spawn infinitly on customs at least friends and i killed 42 and they are still spawning

I killed one and lost .5 I think? I didn’t see so, Idk if it was from that, but I was at 6.45 and now I’m at 5.95.. so I’m guessing yes.
Verybadscav said you could kill them without losing rep but I haven't had a chance to personally verify this.

This is the most annoying event since i started playing two years ago..
On woods you can literally spawn 60m from event location.

Tell u what the event is not forgiving for new players. They raiders are always near extract and they dont miss lol. They are way harder for me to deal with compared to pmcs
Is it me or they the bosses don't spawn/their spawn rate got severely reduced for the event?
We've had Kaban in over half our raids

i couldnt light the bonfires, shot 3 of them with m62 and nothing happened.

The followers seem like the bugged Rogue AI turned into a new faction. They make for some fun fights because you have to fight them in a unique way with huge magazines and holding down a specific spot. Reminds me of old school COD Zombies. I been calling them Eskimo’s because of how long their name is 😂
It would be easier if they didnt spawn right on you or looking at you

“They don’t aggro you right away” my first raid yesterday I spawned in and had about 5 seconds of peace before I got rushed down by 3 of these dudes
I hate this event get 1 tapped each time tothese scavs through wood and other objects only ran labs got 20 runs in yesterday and fought so many Chester's not a single ledx

No its just dog shit that we have no winter camo so you don't stand out like a sore thumb on wide open maps like woods, shoreline, and lighthouse.
Now they are just pissing me off with the snow they want dynamic weather they want the weather to match what it is outside and yet they take the snow away while it’s still snowing and then bring it back in the spring makes no damn sense and now it is completely ruined when it comes to the immersion, It doesn’t feel as cool running around in snow and then stepping outside to 80° weather.

snow needs to stay. it was how the game was meant to be . A snow environment and as everyone found out better performance with the snow
