play it again and you'll realize how repetitive and casual it is, like BT3. As a little kid it was fun though
@@A.S.28 I know it's casual, but that makes it very easy to master it and if two players are evenly matched in skill it's VERY hard for either of them to get a hit in xD even harder to use the "specials" when going red ( I dunno if that red is supposed to be Kaioken cause everyone can use it so Imma jsut call it "red" :3 ) thus it's very hard to go Gogeta, or use body cahnge with ginyu, etc. That's what I like about it ^^ oh! and it's quite fast paced for its age!
@@A.S.28 But that's the reality of almost all Dbz games. The ones that try to offer a fairly solid gameplay, in the end only manage to show that in a superficial level. That's the context where they must be judged, not against Sf, Mvc, Tk, Kof and the likes. So in that right context it's very fair to choose B3 as the favorite or best of the older gen games (or the traditional ones, in case the arena games are outside the judgement frame). There is nothing remotely close to Dbfz's system in the history of Dbz games, after all.

It was a cut above the average anime fighter since there was actually a good deal of depth despite the simple learning curve.

I appreciate Fighterz, but sadly it's just not my game. It's definitely more for fighting game fans who like Dragon Ball Z. Budokai 3 is more of just a game for Dragon Ball Z fans. I'll play Budokai 3 any day over it.

Most of "Dragon Rush" things are same finishing through out characters... heavy kick/ continuous energy blast/ strong fireball/ multiple death beam except 2nd form Frieza, a bit different.

Miss the auras around the characters and being able to teleport out of a combo/attacks with good timing so it looks like a real dbz fight

@@glonik10 my biggest let down for season 2 other than no raditz is that they gave us no new stages and Broly doesn't transform. The stage especially since they had the nerve to put the movie music in the trailer but no ice continent.

If there is a Dbfz sequel, i'd love if Arcsys came up with a way to take some elements typical of casual fg's to make them work in a deep and technical system, in order to enhance the "Dbz" nature of the game but still staying on the solid and competitive gameplay ground.

Yes, the nostalgia with Budokai 3 is really strong. The story mode, the characters and the gameplay are still great imo. Playing it solo was a great experience, but being online and competitive? I don't think that it would stand a real chance against FZ. But on the contrary Budokai was never intended to be competive as FZ. Also Budokai 3 had never characters that you had to pay for additionally. Want to have a casual non-competitive DBZ fighting with all characters and a good story mode? Go for Budokai 3. Want to have a competitive and challenging fighting game? Go for Fighter Z. I personally prefer Budokai 3, because I'm not into competitive fighting games, but if I would, Fighter Z would be my first pick. 👍🏻

GG no it’s wrong there’s a skill for goku called the dragon fist which is different and is done just like kaioken assult from dbzf
Kaioken is just a transformation on that game every character can do the exact same rush in rage mode if they dont have a move that triggers right after the dragon rush.

Nah Bardock's base power is 10,000 (Dragon Ball Z: Bardock the Father of Goku) and Super Saiyan is a 50x multiplier so his power level would be 500,000. Frieza's first form power level is 530,000. So I doubt he would be able to beat Frieza. And we don't know the power level of (Dragon Ball Super: Broly) Bardock

2 of the best DBZ games in history. I would be so down for a Dragon Ball Super Budokai. The only issue was the composer, not the whole game. Plus the graphics engine now is used for Dragon Ball Heroes. I don't want another free roaming fighting game, gimmie that nostalgia.

Well, I give the slight Edge to Dragon Ball FighterZ for the fact that Bardock turned SSJ like in The part where he fought against Lord Chilled who he (Bardock) thought was Frieza
