I love that the medical supply building is still there, this movie had such a massive impact on me growing up in the 80s. Great video guys.
"Do you wanna party!!!" "Its party time!!"
5:48 "Oh let's do THAT." Always loved that part. This movie was f@cking genius. It was part comedy, but TarMan gave me the chills well into my adulthood. Absolute Art. Thanks Sean! Your vids are amazing, and complete nostalgia.
My family moved to Sylmar in 86, one block away from the cemetery scene. As a kid, I used to walk through those Olive Groves and never had any idea that it was used for ROTLD. Great video, enjoyed it!

I loved how they used smoke behind the zombie extras to make like they had a bunch more.
I'll never get tired of watching Return of the Living Dead. I own the series and love watching them all the time.
YT just recommend me this video. Thank you for revisiting the locations. Until this day this is one of my favorite movies.
If memory serves me correctly, summer 85; ROTLD, Godzilla 1985, Fright Night. Went from 1 screen to the next as a 13 yr old at AMC. Memorable summer ROTLD, Fright Night, 2 of my favs....
My favorite zombie movie, wish you could do something on the American Werewolf in London, that is one of the only movies that scared me as a kid. That opening scene is iconic. Please don’t stop making these videos.
Awesome episode shaun, this will always be my all time favorite zombie movie. Nothing comes close!
On the DVD director commentary, they mention they got use of that house, but it was 90° inside that summer. This movie was right at the peak of my life.
This is one of my all time favorite movies!!! Great job with video! Loved it!!!
One of the true horror classics.
Thanks for the effort & the upload.
Simply the best Zombie film ever, was the first film to have them run instead of walk, and the ending is exactly how things would be done.
The beginning and the end is exactly how it would go down. Government involvement from start to finish.
Excellent excellent job brother! I love this movie and always wanted to know where it took place. Thank you for your diligence in searching out all the filming locations. Awesome job!
You are a legend for this. My favorite zombie movie ever
Interesting, 8:35, a lot of the editing and scenes were done right under what is now the "Rental Returns" equipment sign. Cool effort, fantastic zombie movie.
That neighborhood where the cemetery used to be looks kinda like the streets in part 2.
There’s a photo I love where Jason Robards crashed the set of ROTLD during filming since he was best friends with James Karen. The cast took a group photo with him, it’s awesome. Definitely in my top five favorite films ever made. Day of the Dead is on it also. I watched both of them until the vhs disintegrated.
Thank you my brother for this upload. This my movie right here. I can watch this one a tone of times, love this movie. Sad some locations don't look the same but I'm glad you found them. Super cool upload my man, thanks for bringing history back!!
My favorite horror movie. Well. Top 5 for sure.
I remember my dad showing me this movie, anytime I eat those keebler elves cookies it reminds of this movie. Super awesome memories thank you for the video
Was waiting for Clu Gulager to make an appearance
Easily in my top 5 fave horror movies of all time. The soundtrack is thr best ever next to The Crow soundtrack IMO. Thanks for all your hard work.
My first time on your page and the outtakes are great, look foreword to your other videos ,thanks.
It's interesting that, unlike other movie locations which tend to deteriorate over time, the places still left from ROTLD filming have instead become pretty heavily gentrified.
I love the Trioxin Theme Francis Haynes did an Awesome track for the movie do you like it!!!!
Outtakes during the credits are gold in this one lmao 👊🤘
He visto esta película un millón de veces. Es la primer película de terror que recuerdo de niño, y quedé absolutamente aterrado con tarman. Que maravilla
Well it’s kinda funny that you asked if there were any punks in Kentucky. Newport Kentucky had a famous venue called The Jockey Club with a thriving punk scene.
I grew up a few blocks down from there, although I was too young to remember that building as anything other than a Yellowcab, and they sadly got rid of all of the legendary 80's punk bands graffiti in the back of the building. If you fancy yourself punx as fuck you should know Richard Hell was playing punk at the very start and therefore was probably proto-punk as well. He moved from Lexington to NYC in the mid 70's and helped shape the early scene. He also originated the look that influenced douche bags like Sid Vicious and spread everywhere. So sorry Californy but KY was more influential.
Yes my favorite zombie movie thanks for the upload Sean .
Thank you for making this video!!
These locations feel like home, I’ve seen this movie so much
He really showed Romero what time it was!
Sean, does anyone have the tanks from the film? Do they exist in a collection? For me that would be the holy grail of props from this classic, perhaps my favorite horror movie of all time. Great episode, thank you for your hard work!
Great again Sean, you the man!!! Have you ever taken any relics from locations you've visited? I've got some bits of Joliet prison from the Blues Brothers, and a piece of the Ghostbusters firehouse. Sidenote, no vandalism was involved, the pieces were allready either on the ground or chipped off.
That is awesome that you took a piece of the ghostbusters firehouse and joliet. I visited a few filming locations and never thought to steal something and now I"m upset I didn't. Fuck.
One of my all time favourites..Thanks for uploading this 🙂
Awesome videos returning to memory lane from our favorite horror movies keep em coming 👍🏼
Return of the living dead is a good zombie horror movie. 😀👍🧟♂️
Appreciate you posting all this Sean. I dig what you do. Your Session 9 episode is my favorite.
I'm really glad that all these episodes of HHG have been uploaded. I first came across Sean's show when I was watching the special features for The Fog and have been hooked ever since. Thanks for the hard work man!
Do you want to party?..it’s party time!……that song rocked!… 45 Grave
I was surprised the "uneeda" building still exists.
Would be interesting to look inside )
This was a dope tour, Thank You!!
What a magical movie that was!!
Happy Return of the living dead Day
Great episode! Such a neighborhood rental classic growing up. Extra thumbs up for the final clips, and the 'you can't film here' convo with the 'Arty-Nerds', HaHa. Your creativity is very inspiring man. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Love that you didn't cut the nudity scenes Hehe
this series is the shit - absolutely watching all of these when I should be working. Thank you Sean!

Another awesome job, catching up on all your videos.
This was a really badass revisit location vid, Sean! Great seeing you at Mad Monster, keep it up! 🤘
No way!! This video meant a lot to me, this film is very near to me, I love it so much, even the sequels.
That was awesome! Thank You! I love the shirt too, that’s cool.
Just rewatched it last night as I grabbed the shout factory 4k copy from Best Buy . Forgot just how good this movie really is , love the video and thank you !
"Do you ever fantasize about being killed?!" Haha!! I love it when Trash (Linnea Quigley) says that. I laugh so hard every time I watch that part. ROTLD is one of my favorites.
Love this video thanx 🤘
Sean great video as always.
I was three or four years old when this movie came out and it would have been about a year or so later my mom and her boyfriend rented it on the old school vhs. I snuck out of my room and hid behind the couch and watched quietly...then apparently I gasped and ket out a scream at my first sight of Tarman. I honestly don't remember any of this but my love for zombies and punk rock was born. And if my nightmares almost 40 years later are any indication the story from mom is true LMFAO
This movie remains one of my favourite all-time movies.
Its so bad it's good...
Send more cops
I love Linnea!💋 80's scream queen my fave anyway... Thanks Sean, I want that Dawn shirt!👍
Another great HHG episode, loved it, it was not weak at all in fact I worked very close to Jesse street in LA for a shitty wannabe fashion company that no longer exists and had no clue the train tracks were so close to where I was.
Thank you 🙏
Great movie. I've always been curious about where it was filmed. Thank you Soooo Much ❤😊
The soundtrack was epic. The Cramps, The Damned, TSOL, 45 Grave, on and on.
Great stuff.
One of my Favs!
So awesome
Damn! I would’ve never guess they made the cemetery into a residential street! Very cool though! I have that movie on blu ray btw 🙂
I just found your channel. Love your video. I've always been more a fan of movie locations more than the actors. Have a good one.

Awesome love this movie❤
Very cool!
Hey Sean Please tell me you have an episode at Monroeville Mall from Dawn of the dead
@Duckfu Chickenjudo I never shot an actual episode however I have been going to that mall as a fan since my first visit in 1993 when it looked exactly the same minus the ice skating rink. I have videos and photos from all of those visits and will be putting something together with that for fun much like the Dazed and Confused episode I shot.
Whaaaat? I live in Sylmar, near that intersection! Cool!
Bro, you did a good job with night of the living dead locations. I’m still watching this movie to this day. It’s very funny scary and funny at the same time I can’t say it enough you gotta love Los Angeles California nice place to live.
My very first horror movie.

The return of the living dead I love this movie
Just a great job...............
The North Myer Street of the Nagatoshi building was also featured in a recent popular Korean Music Video, makes me wonder what other projects this building was featured in
Such a cracking soundtrack
Sick video! I love that movie.
Excelente video de el regreso de los muertos vivientes recordando hoy en dia donde grabaron la pelicula la mejor película de terror y comedia saludos desde Colombia - Aguachica 🤝🏻🙏🏻🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
Yo this movie is so classic I absolutely love the performances by all the actors especially the legendary Clu Gulager who did a fantastic job in the made for tv movie San Francisco International.
The trioxin theme is just so awesome with the crazy bells and synth sounds and that absolutely rockin distorted guitar it's one of my favorite themes from a movie.
Nice video man I like the inclusion of some bloopers especially the gibberish from messing your words up I do that all the time because I talk so fast sometimes I had this Indian girl tell me she hardly understands half of what I say she just nods and says okay like 😂 she fooled me because her responses were always as if she did understand but only half the time when I wasn't being a motor mouth putting the pedal to the metal.
Aahhh ..hhoooo...!
(Frank's first cough)...😆
L.A is amazing
Great video
It’s funny cause where they they were driving in the beginning scene by the LA river is a crazy party spot now it’s ridiculous lol
🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴 Colombia presente 😊

At 9.10 ill become your fan!!!Fuking awsome job!!!!! Thanx from italy.
This is my old neighborhood, Lincoln Heights. I grew up right across the street on Ave. 19. I remember the first time I saw the movie I was like, WAIT! THAT’S ACROSS THE STREET! Anyway, when UPS built their hub there that when a lot of the of the og buildings were torn down. On another note TONS a movies were shot in my neighborhood. I met so many celebrities as a kid.
I live down the street from this location. I always been fairly certain , that was the building from the movie!
I can watch Return of the Living Dead Over & Over & Over. I'll never ever get tired of it. It's my favorite movie 💀.
