Hi everyone!
Today is August 9th, which means a new character has been released in Honkai Star Rail. It's Kafka.
Everyone has been waiting for her appearance since the release. And that day has come, many today will finally be able to obtain her. But her gameplay is kinda tricky
She deals damage based on DoTs. The more DoTs, the more damage she has. Therefore, you should build teams based on this information.
But at least it's fun to go through the Simulated Universe on Nihilthy Path.

Absolutely insane unit. Running with her 4 star signature and she's somehow is getting more damage output than my Seele 💀Even though I've invested wayy more time into Seele than her.

@@hattuteline Not necessarily. It's pretty much the same release time (12:00PM, or 14:00, something like that) at each server, so Asian servers get Kafka earlier, than Europeans, then Americans. I believe that's how it works in Genshin, so in Star Rail it should be quite similar, as well

I don't even have Kafka yet, but this is certified perfection. The gameplay, the memes, the music, the constant barrage of Lost Judgment references (very based by the way), and the accurate depictions of how frustrating the Forgotten Hall's Xianzhou levels are....just *chef's kiss*.
There are two different sides of fighting:
- DoT abuser
- Direct beating the s%$t out of the enemy
(That's how Kafka and Blade are represented, like literally)

I didn't intend on getting Kafka. I was gonna hold for Fu Xuan, but did a yolo 10-pull because even if I didn't get her then I'd be building pity and getting Luka or a Sampo/Serval eidolon would have still made me happy...
I got Kafka+Luka in a single 10-pull. I'm suffering from success and couldn't be any happier.
I got 2 blade and 1 natasha just for 10 pull, honnestly I found kafka overhypped and I prefer the blade solo kit more than kafka (But a combo blade+Kafka seems insane)
83 pulls and lost 50/50 on kafka-

Yukong doesn't help her as Kafka doesn't need crit or crit damage.

On one hand, it's hard to not feel at least a little bad beating up some stupid kid. On the other, you'd really think he would have learned his lesson about going after absolute menaces to society that are way out of his league from both Jingliu and Blade + Dan Heng.

Crit is actually worst thing for her, she deals DoT damage which cant crit
i think there are atleast a docen stats that are whay worse than crit cause atleast crit can be skill/ulti/normal/follow up attack

I just went from 22* to 26* on MOC after struggling so hard on last MOC, having her is such a relief.
I just need to level everyone more I literally have 0 lvl 80 characters and barely any lvl 15 relics 🤣
This game is so hard on Grinding man, I feel genshin have it easier with all the loot you get from exploring.
Next what I need is a new healer or preservation unit, I just can't seem to make Natasha work..

The teams I saw people recommend for Kafka are as follows:
For single target/boss battles: Kafka, Sampo, Silver Wolf ( really good def shred on single target) and any healer u have.
For multiple targets: Kafka,Sampo, Pela ( not as good def shred but it's aoe) and any healer u have.
The single target team can swap Silver Wolf with Luka or Pela and that's about it.
As for her build.
Her 5 Star signature weapon, "Patience is all you need" or the 4star weapon "Good Night and Sleep Well" are the ones that are recommended the most.
Artifacts you wanna go with Band of Sizzling Thunder (Boots need to be SPD the rest you put attack) and her ornaments are Space Sealing Station (Lighting dmg orb and ATK lasso or energy recharge)
This is kinda the basic build for her in a DOT team.

Funny how we both run blade and Kafka with Sampo and Luocha. My reasoning is Luocha being a needed healer and blade can be a hp tank and back up dps to carry the game if Kafka or Sampo dies.

Update: Got a second Welt before I got Kafka. If the game is going to give me a spook, I'd rather get a new character like Bronya or Clara. Now comes the relic grind because my electro relics are terrible.
