Hey there I’m always afraid to get the straw or hey because I don’t know which one will seed. Sorry I’m no help there. A lot my tomatoes have that purple stem color too. I will be transplanting them into their forever home (grow bags and greenstalks😂) this week so hopefully they will do well. You garden spaces are looking great. I read somewhere that the purple stems could also be caused by too much fertilizer so I am going to just use plain water and see if that does anything. Could luck planting yours outside. I am going to keep mine in for a few more weeks and maybe plant them in late April! We will see what happens with the straw! At least I have my handy dandy weeding tool, if it turns out I used the wrong thing! Lol
