      Great vid. Dr. Amy, Can u do one for our veterans who have cancer & traumatic brain injury or traumatic injury like lost limb or stab wounds? Should they take the same supplements & food too? Is there anything special they can do to push themselves along. Can u also include some tips on what they can eat/take to help them heal from their injuries too?

    Magnesium citrate is a life saver in so many ways whether you have cancer or not. Everyone should be taking it along with vitamin D and K2. Your vitamin D level goal should be 50, not 30. Those are the big three for me. I get enough calcium in my diet. Too much calcium without the support of magnesium and potassium can cause heart arrhythmias.

    If taking Vitamin D3 you should be taking Vitamin K2-mk7 at least 4 hours after from the research I've done. They work better if taken apart than together.

      The amount of soya is incredibly small and is used to improve the mixability. Soya is not the primary protein source in the product

    There's a video that states how dangerous it is to take Vitamin D and Calcium, Some information is just so confusing.

      For good information about Vit D: Look into the work of MD Judson Somerville - 'The Optimal Dose'.

      Best to take Vit D3 alongside enough Magnesium, since by fulfilling as many functions, Mg can easily be depleted. Also take Vit K2, to ensure that excess Calcium is directed away from the vascular system and muscles, for storage in bones. (Calcium toxicity is actually a possible problem that could occur with higher Vit D3 intake.)

    Interesting. My question is WHY don't hospitals make COLD CAPS as part of their standard of care to PREVENT hair loss? A cold caps works to allow you to keep your hair. Gloves and footware similar to what makes a cold cap work also helps to prevent neuropathy. Maybe a video should be done on that. There is no reason for women to suffer from hair loss.

      I’m not a doctor but I was told by a friend that cold caps aren’t used all the time because if the cancer has reached the brain it will prevent the chemo from working fully to kill the cells

    Well, this is just frigging great; "Results: There were indications that use of any antioxidant supplement (vitamins A, C, and E;
    carotenoids; coenzyme Q10) both before and during treatment was associated with increased
    hazard of recurrence (adjusted hazard ratio [ad|HR], 1.41; 95% CI, 0.98 to 2.04; P = .06| and to a". I was taking all of my vitamins in the hospital, and yes, they were ordered by the doctors, and I'm still taking them now, post chemo.
