  • Lose the cables and USB batteries. Bolt a battery under your Pi for simplicity. You even get a power switch!

    The milliampere hours are at 3.7 volts so you have to include power conversion and losses, you won't get those rated milliamp-hours at 5 volts. The units that take an 18650 cell might be a better way to go, those can go to 3000 or more mAH. 73 de w6akb

    Hi Craig, I can give it a start to built a 3D printed case, I don't have the battery board dimensions (also usb port position) and board spacings.
    If there is a sketch / iso view with the dimension and spacing available then I will design something. Regards. PD1MV
    I did see your 3D print....

    New to this video. So if I’m using the Pi Zero UPS battery hat do I have to plug USB power into both the pi zero and the battery hat, or just the battery hat cause the pi can run power through that?

      You plug the usb charging cable into the battery board... power is supplied from the board to the pi by "pogo sticks" which touch the bottom of the gpio header on the pi. works great!

    So digi pi is like raspberry pi?
    I want to build a dmr dual hotspot with onboard battery and LTE if possible, with other without a screen. Is that doable?

    • @KM6LYW

      DigiPi is strictly data modes (information), no voice allowed :) seriously though, dmr/c4fm/etc, are adequately covered by mmdvm devices.

    Trying to build an I-gate with raspberry pi does this act like an I-gate or more like a digipeater?

    • @KM6LYW
      @KM6LYW  Před 2 lety

      Direwolf can be both an igate and a digipeater, it's entirely configurable, and all runs on the Pi!
