  • A Just Stop Oil protester was thrown to the ground during a physical confrontation in London with a furious member of the public.
Around 18 environmental activists were marching in Mansell Street, near the Tower of London, on Friday morning when they became involved in an altercation with a man, reported to be a motorist.
Video captured from a nearby building shows the man pushing several activists, one of whom fell to the ground, in an attempt to remove them from a bus lane where demonstrators were marching slowly.

But the police need to gather evidence to prove wrongdoing. Then back to the station to write it up. That then goes to public prosecutor office. If they feel there is enough evidence to secure a conviction it goes to court. Where a highly paid JSO lawyer claims the protesters had been falsely arrested & should receive damages.

Society is still dependent on oil and gas. Most if not all renewable energy sources are unable to match oil and gas in sheer energy density and reliability.
I would recommend turning to nuclear because it has lower emissions and excellent energy density, but those powerplants are big, expensive to build, and despite considerable advances in safety and failsafes in nuclear powerplants since Chernobyl, society is still afraid of it. Fusion is still decades away, but might be the best solution if they can make it work.

Typically, in a place where protestors are allowed to block traffic unimpeded, it's a sign that anyone who beats them up will be prosecuted like they just walked over and smacked some stranger. For instance, in Stockton, California, store owners beat up a robber who tried rob their store 3 times in 2 days. They got fed up and hit him the third time, after they had reported it to police the first two times and nothing was done about it. Now, of course, the store owners are being prosecuted like they are the criminals!
